They didn't beat Juve, no one has this season ( ), but yes I do agree that they tend to play better in big games. Nonetheless we definitely have what it takes to beat them and will go into the games as favourites, let's give our squad some credit. Regarding the other stats, I'm sorry, but I don't think there is any point in comparing the EPL to Serie A. I honestly think that Napoli would probably be reegated if the played in the EPL, not because they don't have players that are good enough even maybe to win the EPL but because the competitiveness in every game here is at a totally different level than Italy.

I think you hit the point there. I don't think Oriols form has declined too much but rather that our style of play is changing. He was brilliant with the high-line high-pressure defense with fast-passing attacks. But I don't think the current (attempt at) possession football suites him too much. I would much prefer we start Mikel with our current style of play. I agree his game is not too Barcelona-ish, but I still think his tactical awareness, one-touch passing, and sheer composure make him a great prospect for any team to have, especially at only 20 years of age. In all honesty, I think DM is our least concern atm. We have two descent options there ( yes I do rate Mikel highly) and even essien has proved in the past that he can brilliant in that position.

Atm, Mata is drifting to central midfield and Danny to central forward leaving our attacks very one-dimensionally narrow and easy to defend against. He also needs to move to the middle because we need someone outwide who can defend against the oposition's RB.

The problem with John is that he plays despite being injured. And though his bravery and dedication are outstanding, sometimes he isn't doing himself any favours because his injury will only get much worse and take double the time to mend.
