  1. Cahill is a weird one because he does have the pace to do well in a high line defense. I don't understand why no one has been able to coach him how to do better with his positioning and decision making. Also, I've seen Christensen playing a high line a few times for Gladbach so far and he looks promising. He's got the pace and awareness but best of all he looks so comfortable on the ball.
  2. Did, by any chance, that someone previously mention that Obama is Muslim and that he was not born in the US/is not American?
  3. A one sentence explanation for what caused ISIS: https://twitter.com/KarlreMarks What could be simpler, right?
  4. Could try to turn it into a chant as well
  5. I was being sarcastic and making fun of the usual excuses for Diego's awful behavior thus highlighting the hypocrisy and moral inconsistencies of most Chelsea fans regarding Costa.
  6. No, the role of any player in a game is what the manager asks him to do. Which Oscar did against Tottenham. Just let it go....
  7. Defensive or offensive doesn't matter and is completely irrelevant to the discussion here. He played his role very well in the game and thus had a good performance in that particular game. As I said, I don't have an agenda for or against Oscar so what I was saying was about that game alone not him in general.
  8. He's been excellent since coming back into the side in the past couple of matches. His performance against Spurs was his best for us in a long while, imo.
  9. For playing his tactical role in a tactical game very well from pressing and defending very well to knowing when to drop and when to make a run on attack. Jose and the team must have worked on that system very hard all week and the front four, for the most part, implemented it very well in the game.
  10. When Robert Fisk nails it, he fucking nails it! http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/david-cameron-there-arent-70000-moderate-fighters-in-syria-and-whoever-heard-of-a-moderate-with-a-a6753576.html
  11. I have no agenda for or against Oscar. When he does badly as he has often this season I criticize him just as I did against Tel Aviv when he was awful despite the goal. But I also have no issue with praising his performance when he does well like yesterday.
  12. Surprise, surprise the French emergency laws are being used almost exclusively against normal citizens and particularly against environmental activists. People having their front doors kicked down by the military and police for small crimes or even no crimes. Innocent people being held in custody without being charged. Media being censored. Tourists and visitors having their visas scrapped for no reason...etc. So, I guess the plan to fight ISIS is, since they "hate you for your freedom", just get rid of the freedom and they would stop hating and attacking you? Smh...
  13. Come on, you know that is not true or at the very least incredibly exaggerated. Everyone, but particularly the front four, worked very hard in defense. He was good in offense as well, especially in the first half. His movement was good and he knew when to make a run and when to drop and receive the ball. And he did attempt a few through balls, I distinctly remember a couple to Hazard and Pedro. So let's be fair here.
  14. Well this thread is eerily quite. Thought he had his best game for us in some time against Spurs. Great defensively but also in his movement and decisions on the ball. Managed to provide a vital creative spark. Excellent performance, especially in the first half.
  15. Why are you guys so upset? Yes, he's a cunt, but he's OUR cunt! Plus, this is just the type of player he is. This is how he gets himself fired up. If it weren't for this kind of behavior he wouldn't be half the player he is (which would be catastrophic because this season he's been a league two player at best). :D
  16. His shooting aside he had his best game for us since his debut. His runs were amazing, he just looked a few yards quicker than everyone else. He and Hazard gave us great dynamism that Tottenham looked unable to come up with an answer to. Even defensively he did very well. Good game in my book.
  17. If Ramires was available and started instead of Fabregas we would have most likely won the match. It really was often worse than playing with 10 men yesterday. Did little defensively and only broke up our attacks offensively. Sigh...
  18. Cameron's obviously made up '70,000 moderate Syrian rebels' crap is reminiscent of Blair's WMDs in Iraq speech.
  19. Absolutely no idea what people are moaning about with that 1 shot target stat as it reflects very little of the reality of the game. In terms of actual chances, we created more than Spurs in both halves. Regarding the result, I thought we were better in the first half but they were better in the second and we seemed more concerned about the draw instead of actually going for the win, so shared points is probably the fair result in the end.
  20. Thought you might enjoy that more than my opinion of the match...
