Well as long as we're not exaggerating He had a bad first half. It happens, especially when he is having his CL debut at LB. And his job was not not made any easier by Hazard leaving him alone vs Willian and Serna.
-
I think he is still not 100% fit. You could see last night that he was trying not to make sprints or get into collisions and tackles. But he still put in a wonderful performance.
-
Bad, BAD Sturridge, he got a whole 20 seconds and didn't score!

Can't take form and position in table into consideration in this match since we always play like shit against them and they turn into world beaters against us.
-
And what does that prove? I'd like to see Pep manage MK dons or Robbie manage Barcelona before I judge who is better than who. I think they are both good young managers that have A LOT to prove before they become world-class managers. I don't want Pep here until I at least we see him manage a team other than Barcelona. I am not discrediting the amazing work he did there, but just saying that Barca are a special case and the situation here at Chelsea is completely different. Pep right now would be, imo, a huge risk that we don't need taking. And for the record, I genuinely don't want the tiki-taka shit here. Look at the Celtic vs Barca game stats last night to see the reason.

I don't agree, even if he is a winger, he must defend first. He should always be helping the man behind him when the team is defending. It is not something extra, it is how the system works. If one player does not so his job the system fails and we concede goals as we have seen the past few matches. Drogba last year was playing at LB, that is completely different. For his position, DD was always an excellent defender, always putting pressure on the back four and doubling on the CMs not to mention that he was our best set piece defender. His defensive job was to keep the center halves occupied, high up the pitch and uninvolved in the attack, not to make tackles in the box as he was asked to do last year. Thank you for a completely meaningless post and for avoiding the point behind what I said. I don't care if you are here because of Hazard, I am CHELSEA supporter and will criticize any error that is costing the team.
-
But that is his job. We have to stop looking at it as something extra he does. A modern day winger should defend and he should do so well.

My bad, fixed.

Review the second goal and then tell me whether or not Hazard did enough. On a side note, Cahil's attempted murder of Moses:

This may sound cynical, but I hope the late winner does not stop RDM from learning that he needs to make changes earlier. It is also not a coincidence that Bertrand performed tonight like Cole performed the last few matches. The problem is obviously elsewhere. But forget all that, the important thing is:

Our defensive organization has been abysmal so far. These nervy European matches is exactly where we need JT.

I'm assuming you're taking about Iran and not the conservative vs liberal debate above. If that is the case, I assure you the foreign policy in the US is not set by the president; the evidence is that it has not changed one bit since the end of WW2 especially towards Israel, in fact, Obama was the president to give Israel the most money despite the economical crisis. So Romney, Obama, or Walt Disney, you will have their unlimited support, funding and arming.

No offence, but you are living proof that media propaganda is brain washing people. Without getting in to whether those things are 'evil' as you envision them to be, the president alone does not create them. If the US moves towards liberal secularism, marginalization of Christianity and all the other stuff, it is because the masses and the society as a whole is moving in that direction. Making them illegal and pretending they are not there does not change the fact that they are what the people want. You can't stop progress or else it would not be named that.

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Ramires, Torres, Mata, Oscar, Mikel, Hazard, Cahill, Bertrand JT on the bench? Mata is a huge boost.

The invasion of Iraq, or any invasion for that matter, must have taken years of studying, planning and sorting out logistics. The decision was made before that idiot got into office, imo. Besides, I just can't imagine that such important strategic military decisions are made by someone with no military and strategic experience whatsoever. These decisions, imo, are made by the generals and the military advisers. But that is exactly what Obama did in his first presidency. He started by giving out a huge bail-out for the corporates that caused the crisis in the first place, he failed for 4 years to make medical security happen, he adopted right wing foreign policies including terror drones in Afghanistan, the invasion of Libya, funding and arming Muslim extremists in Syria and he even called the record military help the US paid to Israel "an achievement" despite it coming in the worst economical crisis in the history of the country. He ended up passing the tea party's tax bill, he couldn't even shut down Guantanamo prison despite vowing that it would be the first thing he would do if elected. The only thing a republican president would have done differently is the speech, but action wise, it is the exact same thing.

I'd take PSG over the likes of Dortmund, Shalke and Malaga any day.

Why does everyone have a better squad than mine?

Congrats Toronto, fully deserved mate

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we lose today, it would be mathematically impossible to finish above Shakhtar. I am SO nervous for this one!

Chelsea lodge complaint about Clattenberg
CHOULO19 replied to bababoom's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Excellent theory except for one glitch: Why would Ramires think Clattenburg would speak in Portoguese? -
The game changed because Dortmund changed tactics in the second half and decided to sit deep. I'm really not getting all the fuss about Essien's performances with Madrid I just don't see it. Today I didn't think he was good, lost the ball way too often for my liking. I'll admit, he's doing better than I thought he would, but I still reckon he wouldn't get a look in if he were still here.
