On thr bright side, I think it's safe to say he's staying at Chelsea after yesterday!

And Romeu of course..

Skysport and Guardian are the most reliable. Don't believe anything else without direct quotes.

Thanks that makes more sense than the article I posted. I'd still imagine Juve are not too happy about it.

I'm not saying that Ryan is better based on who played more. I'm saying from watching the two LBs, I can clearly see that Bertrand is better defensively and tactically. Then I go on to analyze that and say that it might be because Ryan has played more competitive matches.
-
Yeah, they're different players. Nathanial can often be more influential on a game, but in the right team, Josh can be an amazing player. By a player of his type I meant a player who has the technical ability, tactical awareness and vision to run the game from deep like Xavi and Pirlo (not that Josh is anywhere near them atm). It may not be the most effective style at times, but I just love watching players like that. Josh definitely still has A LOT to work on, but there is still hope because this type of players are usually late bloomers because their role requires great experience and tactical awareness. I'm disappointed of how much Josh's performance drops when his team is not playing well. But tbf, even Chalobah had a few anonymous performances when Watford had a few bad games at the start of April. It is understandable at their age, though with Josh it does seem that he is affected much more than others.

Like I said, defensively Bertrand is still miles ahead, which is only natural because of how many more competitive matches Ryan has played. His tactical awareness and decision making is also much better. Shaw has showed glimpses that he can become a great LB, but he's still 17/18, to say that we need to throw away our proven LB for him is just flimsy supporting.

An interview with Scott Minto who talks about Chelsea among othe things. Good read: http://jasonpettigrove.com/2013/05/02/a-few-minutes-with-scott-minto/

Well I thought Josh was brilliant whenever I watched him with U21, it could be because I really love his type of player, he has the ability to be the perfect deep lying play maker. His passing is just sublime when he actually has movement around him. He just controls the whole game. In the championship there is no doubt that Chalobah is doing better, but if I am managing that England U21 team I would start Josh over Nathanial who technically is just not yet up to McEachran's level.
-
Yes, I think so. Bertrand is currently able to put in consistent solid performances; he only had one sub-par performance at LB and that was against Shakhtar. He's also defensively much better than Shaw atm. Like I said, Shaw has more potential and could become a better LB. He is just being hyped because of 2 great performances.
-
His technique is impeccable. World class finish, I have to say..
-
Absolutely laughable! Why? What exactly does he lack? Ryan is currently miles ahead of Shaw who admittedly has more potential.
-
He only lost his starting place in the last friendly and that's only because of his club form (but then he came on in the second half and won and scored a pen). From the matches I've seen he has been brilliant, in fact in those matches you mentioned I thought he had a much better performance than Chalobah who (despite almost scoring a wonder goal in the last one) was a bit sloppy with his passing.

I just don't get how anyone who has kids can still come out and defend the legalization of carrying guns after a story like this!
-
When I say it, I get stick for it but when some journo writes it, he's spot on!
-
Are you sure? He hasn't been anywhere near his best even this season. I think he's on the decline. Besides, NO MORE LIVERPOOL PLAYERS!
-
That's very unlucky that he'll have to miss the Euros. Forget his club from, he's been consistently brilliant with England where everything goes through him.
-
That's not entirely accurate because Robbie also used him in the pivot next to Lamps and Mikel in several occasions but he was just off form at the start of the season, imo.

Styles posted this on the previous page.

Just won Middlesbrough's young player of the year award. Congrats, Josh.
-
Some tricky questions, but he handled them pretty well.
-
Bayern mad a huge mistake by completing the Pep deal so early, imo. Heyneckes is doing wonders with them!
-
Anyone know why Pique didn't celebrate his goal?
-
LOL yes. As well as Ramos and Alves!

Just realized that the world XI will all be watching the CL final on their TVs, so I'd just like to take a moment and give a shout out to all the idiots at FIFA. Well done, you wankers!
