Sorry but that's just not true. Most Chelsea fans wanted him gone (you can go back in this very thread and see) and even those who wanted him to stay had to agree that the fee we were getting for him was too good to turn down. I even remember a conspiracy theory from some opposition fans, particularly Arsenal, that Roman was bribing clubs like Wolfsburg and PSG under the table so they would pay over the odds for players like KDB and Luiz!
-
I'm not at all someone who is fussy about kits, but there is no way I'm actually paying for one of these. But seriously, who the f*ck approved these? Because you know that they must have gotten to some manager who looked at them and somehow said "Go ahead with those". That guy NEEDS a different job...
-
I know we've been shit this season but Adidas didn't even bother with any proper 'reveal' let alone some sort of ad campaign for the new kit. Instead it's just two players awkwardly taking off a jacket while Will Dalton makes small talk that Eden doesn't seem to understand and Ruben couldn't look less interested in if he wanted to! Pretty fitting though for those awful kits. The best way to describe them would probably be that the marker-pen yellow on is the good kit between the two!

The things you sometimes read on TC! Anyway, thought he needed to show a bit more concentration yesterday, but I really liked the fight he brought to our midfield especially in the first half when Tottenham were getting very physical and we really needed someone to get stuck in.

And Matic-Mikel....What did Einstein say about repeating an experiment and expecting different results?

It's a wave all across Europe and America to make boycott illegal, which is a good indicator of how well boycott is working if they are this desperate to pass such Orwellian laws. There are also leaks that show that they are trying to include this in TTIP and TPP. I'd love to see how they plan to implement that on private companies let alone individuals..

Looks like we're parking the bus....and probably loosing. This should be fun..

Someone should really tell him to stick to the mask because that face will probably give me nightmares tonight...
-
This will probably make me feel incredibly old, but didn't Kane wear a black and red mask?
-
Always been the case, though, hasn't it? Didn't your parliament go as far as passing a law or something making it illegal to not consume Israeli products? But of course refusing to consume is one of the gravest sins you can make in a capitalist society...

Fucking hell the British media is hilariously incompetent! Just came across the 'news' about what Ken Livingstone said, so I googled his name and read about half a dozen article about the issue. And while one (the Mail, obviously) managed to somehow blame it on the 'racism Muslims' not a SINGLE media outlet managed to mention the MAIN point regarding the whole thing: What Livingstone said is FACTUALLY correct! Regardless of whether or not you think he should have used that reasoning where he did or whether or not he should have been defending Shah. Literally, the definition of facts is that they are true regardless of everything else. And it's disgusting, though maybe not surprising, that not a single news outlet, not even 'progressive' ones like The Guardian and The Independent, managed to point out that what he said is actually a fact!

Mostly tried to do too much. He had one great run but he ended up giving the ball away cheaply. On defense should have tracked back better, especially that Betis was down to ten men. Not to be too harsh on the boy, but he clearly still has a long way to go from what I've seen of him at Betis, but the talent is very clearly there. Would love to see him for a second season at Betis or some other mid-table team in Spain.
-
Tbf, he did have his moments in his last season here where he did look like a decent striker. Then again, that was in mostly in comparison with grandpa Etoo and #DareToDemba...
-
But that's the difference, isn't it? Doing it consistently for six years is very different than one season. Also, during those seasons and the seasons after as well, Cech came up with some incredible performances like nothing we've seen from Thibaut so far. I don't think we should sell Thibaut. Ridiculous thing to do. I was just saying that we had overrated him quite a lot when our fans were claiming that he was the best in the world, as was the case with Matic last season as well.

This is a nice little video about AFC Wimbledon, John Green and the power of fans in football:

Yeah, I know he's entirely happy at Juve, but I don't think Chelsea is very high up his list of where he'd want to go if he is to move. I'd love to be wrong about that, though.
-
I don't follow transfer rumors, but are we linked with Bonucci? Seems a rather random one.. Morata I'd absolutely love to see here but I think it's unlikely he'd want to come next season with no CL football, and it's not like he has a special relation with Conte to be swayed.
-
Ah, but we're not a 'club', are we? We're a 'brand'!
-
We really shouldn't, but we'll no doubt have a ceremony this season because the club wants to make money and get media attention by attracting celebrities.
-
If only we still had Jose just for this one match..
-
I missed the first 20 mins ad well, but he made a few comical errors in the first half. Didn't help either that our midfield was allowing runners through like they weren't even there... Can't imagine Miazga would have done a lot worse.
-
Didn't state anything that differs with any of the above. Also, I specifically said 'time' not space because there was obviously lots of space yesterday. Of course he's no Pirlo (and even Pirlo was marked out of plenty of matches in his time at Juve), but I think we can create a system where we can capitalize a lot more on his passing abilities if Conte wishes to.
-
Yeah and how many players have that ability to make those passes? That's why he is the best passer in the league in terms of ability. Btw, most of the key passes he made yesterday were one-touch, so the argument about time is pretty weak in this particular case.

No one without blue tinted glasses ever thought that Thibaut was only second to Neuer in the world. I don't understand, what exactly had he done at Atletico that was so incredible? He had solid performances along with the odd great save. The clean sheets stats are for the entire team, not just him. I remember watching entire Atleti matches with Thibaut not having to deal with more than one shot on target all game. Jose didn't let Lukaku go, Romelu asked to leave. Also striker is VERY different than GK. Incomparable. On any account, in what areas do you think Thibaut is better than Petr? For me, while both can be prone to the occosional mistake, Petr is quite clearly better at organizing his defense, decision making (especially in 1vs1s), kicking, and positioning (the most important aspect for the goal keeper) while Thibaut is only better in the air.

His passing today has absolutely nothing to do with the opposition, it's pure ability. He has numerous deficiencies such as lack of pace and positional awareness that can be costly against the 'bigger' teams, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is the best passer on the league.
