  1. Another point that is largely underrated is Terry's ability on the ball. He is one of the best CBs in the world when it comes to ball distribution. His inch-perfect long balls are Xavi-esque, like the one he played to Hazard which created the chance for the first goal.
  2. Continuous. We never fully crashed. Like I said, for me, it was working fine throughout the game; didn't even get a single error message.
  3. No, they won't interchange roles. Lampard will almost never drop deep to receive the ball from the CBs, that is Ramires' job while Frank will barely get a touch or two in the build-up but instead will be in a more advanced area waiting to make a run into or around the box. While when Ramires plays next to Mikel, Essien or MVG, he has the license to go forward and join the attacks and use his pace to make runs into the box. That is when Rami is at his best which is why I originally said I don' like Rami to partner Lampard. If they interchanged roles they'd have very similar action areas maps, but they don't. It is clear that Rami was sitting deeper than Lampard who made more forward runs. How many of his trademark runs did you see Rami make into the box yesterday? Zero, because he was playing deeper. Agree. I think that Rami works best with Mikel next to him as well and I also think Lamps with MVG will work too.
  4. Not for me, although a couple of members said that they got fatal error messages.
  5. I don't think he can make it as a CB in England. Imagine him marking the likes of Rickie Lambert, Andy Carol, or Petr Crouch. EDIT: I actually thought this was Ake's thread So the above comments are meant about Ake not Chalobah
  6. Well none of that really has anything to do with the point we were discussing (not that I agree with any of it). You said that Ramires can still play as a box-to-box next to Lampard who makes forward runs which nonsense as is evident by the maps above.
  7. Juve destroy Lazio 4-0 to win the Super Cup
  8. ^^ Following up on that point: Today JT played 52 passes at 96% accuracy and won 100% of his 5 aerial duels!
  9. Except he didn't play box-to-box today because he was playing next to Lampard but instead stayed deep to get the ball from the CBs and fill "gaps of his own making" as is evident by the action areas map: You can't have all your midfielders playing box-to-box That's not how football works.
  10. Well he never had the pace of Ronaldo or Bale, but what he does have is acceleration which he uses very well to beat his marker.
  11. Trust me, you'd feel differently if you could understand what they're saying..
  12. Does indeed look good. I honestly believe he and Luiz are our best CBs when fit.
  13. So, it looks like I'm the only one who thought he had a very good game. His work-rate was exceptional and he tracked every single run El Mohammady made which are quite a lot. He linked up with the team incredibly well in the first half, and even though we didn't really attack much in the second he still won us a hand full of FKs. For me he was a close second for MOTM after Oscar.
  14. He did well today, but I don't like him next to Lampard, tbh. It limits him and he can't do what he does best that is being a box-to-box midfielder.
  15. MOTM for me. Excellent performance in both attack and defense and got a goal to top it off.
  16. Do you know what the main difference to me between Torres and Sturridge is: One plays for Chelsea and the other doesn't. Can we quit the pointless comparisons, please? That's not really fair. Even though he did not score (or even attempt to) his movement was one of the main reasons we performed so well in the first half.
  17. Yeah, let's talk about this in mid October
  18. I thought he was good today. Very good assist. He definitely showed some excellent touches, but maybe he was a bit nervous at times and that will go away with more games. He can only get better from here. I didn't mind the long shots, tbh. We were creating a lot of chances so it's good to give the keeper something different to think about. He obviously has the technique and power to score from there.
  19. Well we're doing this democratically, so whatever you guys decide. But Yes, I agree that it would get boring. Maybe we can have a quick season with four divisions and six teams each after the long 12 week season.
  20. Tbf it was a good pen, just an amazing save. It felt like McGregor did not want Frank to scored. Pulled a few amazing saves from Lampard shots.
  21. What a signing! I wonder what the fee was, Roma have no reason to let him go. I think he'll do exceptionally well in the PL.
  22. Benteke plays on breaking the offside trap and Cahill is one of the worst defenders I've seen when it comes to playing the offside trap.
  23. Terrible time to face Villa after their win against Arsenal. But at least it's at's home. Benteke and Agbonlahor are obviously the biggest threats. Cahill must NOT start this game.
