  1. My point is that it doesn't make him shit, because Mikel, being a key player in our team, is usually rested against weaker teams so it is only natural that we have a higher win percentage when he does not start. I could not disagree more about Luiz. Here is why: http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/13527-04-david-luiz/?p=658954
  2. And we haven't lost a single game Ross Turnbull have played in this season. Let's get rid of Cech
  3. I pray that he scores the winner in the EL final so that maybe some team would be crazy enough to believe he is back to his best and be willing to get him off our hands. But that's just wishful thinking; I doubt very much that he'll leave in the summer.
  4. There's a reason Madrid want to get rid of him.
  5. Low never plays without a striker. Not that it matters because he's not coming here.
  6. Would rather Chicharito vs JT than vs Cahill who has a hobby of stepping up in the wrong time. Really? It made a hell of a difference the last time we played United.
  7. Not saying that Torres is in anyway better than Ba, but just that if Fernando has to play a game, I'd rather he plays the one against Tottenham.
  8. I disagree, Torres has his speed (even if it has decreased a lot). His movement to the flanks (running away from goal) creates space for Mata and Hazard to run into.
  9. Ba is the type of player to play against united because they always struggle against physical target men strikers like Ba, Drogba..etc while Tottenham is the type of team that you want to run behind their defense so Torres would be more suited for that game.
  10. Well, I disagree. I distinctly remember him making a lot of mistakes in some games back then. Anyway, I'm not even sure what we are arguing about, after that he has been steadily getting better and better and has been one of our best players overall this season.
  11. He will be missed...said no Chelsea fan.
  12. Here: http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/13527-04-david-luiz/page-60 From around that page to about 30 pages after that you can read all about the bad start to the season Luiz had and all the mistakes he made are listed as well. Funny, I was often on the defending side of Luiz because I thought, and still think that he can become a world class defender. But there is no point pretending that he was off form at the start of the season.
  13. Our defense was terrible under Di Matteo even though we were top of the league. Luiz at the start of the season is nothing like Luiz after Christmas. He was making so many mistakes at defense; the games against Athletico, United..etc come to mind.
  14. What? I honestly did not understand anything from this post. And what in the world does Mikel has to do with anything here? You're obsessed..
  15. Styles for me. Has been immense this month.
  16. Under Di Matteo? He was injured for the most part of last season under Di Matteo and he was terrible this season until Di Matteo got sacked. His start of the season was just terrible, he kept making mistake after another; he only started to pick up form around Christmas. Why is it so hard to give credit where it's due and say Luiz has immensely improved under Benitez?
  17. The league had never seen a CB like him so he was very effective offensively. but in those two months he also gave two silly penalties and could have costs us some valuable points with some needless challenges including the one on Rooney where he should have seen red. I reckon, for a manager on the touchline, he must have been the most frustrating player in the world.
  18. Tbf, Torres played a very good game against them last season.
  19. Just like the past 4 meetings with United this season, we will be the better team and I'm very optimistic that the we will get the three points. Just hope that MIkel is fit for this one, would be a huge blow if he isn't.
  20. Messi plus 40m and we can start talking..
  21. Can't look past Hazard for MOTM. Everything went through him.
  22. Amazing technique! On his "weaker" foot as well. Take a bow.
  23. First, Pirlo is in a completely different class to Xabi. Second, the reason Pirlo's performances dropped for Milan before he left was because he was forced to play out of position. Xabi's performances have been sub-par in the exact same position he will be playing here.
  24. Ronaldo left because he wanted to (and of course because someone offered a lot of money for him). And Hazard will leave to if he decides in 2-3 years that he wants to leave to a new challenge which is completely understandable.
  25. You haven't played football, have you? The toughest thing for a football player is discipline. And I'm talking about the forward runs but also about the aggressiveness in defense (in his first year here, Luiz had given away more pens than any other player in the league) as well as wandering off a and chasing strikers to the half-way line. I hardly think the previous managers were encouraging David to do that.
