City are the one team that I'm never confident against recently. I'd take a draw right now having in mind that we have 7-8 consecutive relatively easy matches in the league till we face Arsenal around Christmas.

So most people would like to keep the current format. Any objections? I'm thinking of having 3 preseason friendly matches before the new season. Don't want to drag it on too long.

Jose said after the game that he chose Azpi to cope with the physicality of the German side which I find a bit surprising as if I I had to chose who's more fit between the two I'd probably go with Ryan.

He was helped a lot by Schurrle. He did very well defensively but I'd still like Ryan to start against City because he is capable of providing something offensively.

If neither were drawn out of position, how did Schalke manage to create so many chances in the first half? Like I said, they were both miles better in the second, stayed disciplined and denied Schalke any space in the middle which is why they struggled to create anything.

Good in second half, but the first was one to forget, for both pivot players tbf. Frank too easily taken out of the defensive picture and Rami too easily drawn out of position. No wonder Schalke managed to get the ball into our box in almost every single attack.
