The way I remember it, it was a first time volley from inside the box that was hit with pace and with a couple of people blocking Petr's view. He also hit it with his back to goal so there was absolutely no way he could have expected that shot. Saying that any goal that goes in the near post is the keeper's fault regardless of how it went in is a generalization that is very illogical. Yes, Petr is paid to make those save, and so are other keepers at other clubs. But the thing is, very often, Petr makes an incredible save when any of those other keepers, who also get paid to make that save, would have let the shot in 9 times out of ten. He does that almost every single game and so it happens that those kind of saves come very often at a crucial time where conceding could change the outcome of the game. And once in a while, a very long while, Petr let's in a goal that most other keepers would have saved 9 times out of ten. The difference between how often he makes saves that others wouldn't have and how often he lets in goals that others would have saved is why vast majority of football fans would tell you that he's in the top 5 keepers in the world. I think you're grossly exaggerating the "mistakes" Petr have made. They are a very long way away from being an issue for the club, imo, let alone being worse than Turnbull.

I didn't give him an official warning, I just gave a warning through that post as in the next time he does it he'll get an actual warning. I cannot relate to your political issues in England and in any case they don't apply here. There are different forms of racism. This isn't the same as insulting someone because of their religion or skin color but it is a form of racism because there is no other word for it. In Arabic we have a different word, but in English, if there is one, I'm unaware of it. Call it whatever you want, it was discrimination and insulting someone's opinion just because of their nationality and it is not welcomed on a multicultural community like TC.

Suggesting it while we're having this discussion is not racist (a bit of a stereotype, but not racist) because I've never said I know and don't know about cricket. But disrespecting someone's footballing opinion that is being expressed on a football forum through clear footballing knowledge just because of their nationality is racist. It's not as bad as insulting someone personally for his skin color, but it is a form of racism.

Do you really think that he had many PL offers but chose to go to the championship instead? I do think he should have gone back to Watford, though, were he fit well last season, but the club decided that an extra 5k/wk was more important than his development unfortunately.

It does get very frustrating. But whenever the first team is under more pressure than usual, all talks about youth integration disappear. Hopefully with some good results and some stability, we'll at least see the likes of Kalas, Omeruo and Ake in some matches in the second half of the season.
