  1. No, seriously, you're an expert on social morals, am I wrong? Is there something wrong with posting that GIF? Because for the life of me I can't see what is wrong with it!
  2. Have you seen Capoue for Tottenham before he got injured? I'd honestly rather play Chalobah instead. Zero tactical awareness, terrible first touch, always out of position and absolutely no footballing IQ.
  3. Yes, you should just call players "weak human beings" Wait so having a laugh about a kid falling is indecent but saying that someone is not a decent person isn't? Weird standards..
  4. From your reaction you'd think his son was used in some pornographic GIF. Geez..
  5. What's so nasty about it? It's a joke! And like any joke, it's funny because it has something from the truth. You're telling me you've never laughed at a joke about Nasri being the most expensive "sub", or about Arsenal's lack of silverware or about Fergie time or his "he could have killed him" comment or about Barcelona players diving? No one is saying anything bad of the kid or humiliating him just like the million other funny children GIFs on the internet are not insulting anyone. He miss-kicked the ball and fell on his butt. It's funny! I'm sure if it had happened at home Fernando himself would have laughed about it. It certainly doesn't merit all this discussion.
  6. The digs at Torres for not scoring are not justified? Really?!! And this is coming from someone who just said on the previous page that Torres atm is still our best striker.
  7. This was at the last day of the season when players bring their kids with them so people can take picture of the players and their kids together. The pictures and videos of the players kids were all over the place and I remember a video of Ross Turnbull's son going viral and the video or Ramires's son scoring was also very popular and was made into GIFs. For goodness sake, lighten up!
  8. It's GIF of a kid miss-kicking a football and falling on his butt. There are a bout a million of those going around the internet and even more on those funny homemade videos shows. It's not immoral or inappropriate, it's just funny. You're being more defensive about Torres than he would be about himself. I'm sure that, just like JT laughs off those images with him at the finish line with Usain Bolt, Torres would laugh this off. If anything, the jokes about JT banging his teammates wives is much much more inappropriate.
  9. No I heard it from several sources that Zola wanted him and he badly wanted to go back there but Watford were not willing to pay the percentage wages we were demanding. Can't be the style of football. Zola may not be the best manager around, but his team plays possession attacking football unlike Forrest who are more "traditional British" team.
  10. Yeah he just panicked and wet flying in instead of controlling his nerves and staying on his feet and trying to force the player into an area where we can deal with the threat.
  11. Ridiculous that we won't let him join Watford just because they are willing to pay a smaller percentage of his wages! He needs a manager that trusts him and he can trust in order to develop, and we know Zola is just that.
  12. Was it him or Oscar that gave the ball away?
  13. Don't know about Jose's "reluctance" to play Mikel, he's played more than KDB so far and if the past two games indicate anything is that maybe Jose is starting to realize that we need him, especially against teams with a decent midfield. For me Ramires-Mikel has to be our first choice pair for the pivot.
  14. That's not true. We were lucky that we had one of the most lenient refs in Europe yesterday because he made 3-4 bookable challenges and the one he was actually booked for I've seen players sent off for because his studs were up.
  15. Of course. That's what makes it funny. Just like the JT infidelity jokes, or the jokes with him on all the finish lines and celebrations, or the ones about Mikel scoring..etc It's just childish banter that is part of football.
  16. Agreed. I'd sooner rotate keepers than CBs. The understanding and communication between the two is just so important to how well a team defends.
  17. Moaning about Lukaku won't change anything. And he'd probably been lost in the Basel defense yesterday.
  18. If the problem is that we can't win the midfield and dominate teams, then the ideal solution is hardly to play an attacking midfielder deeper and give him more defensive duties than he is used to.
  19. I mostly agree, but let's be fair, if at 1-0, while we're having our best spell of the game and missing chances for fun, Jose brings on JT for Cahill, it would have been called a "Benitez-substitution". MVG is better defensively (well usually he is, although he wasn't yesterday), but Josh is better on the ball and in his reading of the game. I think the "deal-breaker" is MVG's strength and physical ability as compared to Josh.
  20. No idea where the criticism is coming from, he was probably our best player yesterday after Oscar. He read the game brilliantly well and defended brilliantly, especially in the first half. I think I remember he made one mistake in the second half but Iva made amends. That's about everything you could criticize him for yesterday. But on the other hand his will to actually do something with the ball is what brought about the first goal. His dribbling forward forced Basel out of shape. This why he could be so effective for our attacks when playing at CB. That was kind of the whole joke!
  21. I said this elsewhere, and I'll say it again: I find it completely incomprehensible that Jose feels the need to Rotate JT and Oscar and not Cole and Iva. Should have really started yesterday instead of Cahill who could have done better for both goals.
  22. Any player, regardless of how strong his personality is, needs to perform well to be able to trust his own ability and do things right. If you've played any kind of sport, you'd have experienced that first hand. He's 20 years old, and his first start for the club, which coincided with his CL debut is a HUGE deal for him. The fact that he did badly will no doubt have a negative effect on his confidence. How he deals with that is an entirely different, character-based, story. Quit trying to pick a fight with your shadow.
  23. If he's annoying you, then just put him on ignore for a few days.
  24. Alright lads, let's tone this down before it turns into a fight, please.
