  1. I'm not saying that they are making up BS, I'm just saying that they might be confused about the matter. They've written completely false stuff about us before like that article about FFP and us a week ago. I'm saying this because Jose said in preseason that if he does not get a work permit then we'll loan him abroad. Yes you can! That's what I've been trying to say. At least that's what was being said in the summer by everyone. Just check his thread. I'm not saying that he hasn't got the permit, I'm just saying that we don't know that he has.
  2. All those reports are based on a claim by the Daily Mail that he has been granted a work permit. But I'm not too sure about that mainly because it is the daily fail and because we decided to loan him abroad to Vitesse. If he did have a work permit, I think it would have made much more sense to loan him inside England. But what I am sure of, is that he does not need to get a work permit for us to be able to sign him. We signed him back in October because he has turned 18 not because he got a work permit: "The announcement (Traore's signing) makes no mention of the player being granted a work permit in England, although I'd assume that's the next logical step in this process. The youngster can't play for either the senior side or the U21 squad without that" http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2013/10/31/5050348/official-chelsea-sign-bertrand-traore
  3. Matic would very much make sense against Stoke for his physical attributes, but Jose keeps saying that he wants to integrate him slowly, so I'm not sure he'll start.
  4. I think Wigan are a good move for him. They play good football. Hope he does well.
  5. No, we are able to sign him because he has turned 18, but he can't play for us until he gets the permit. That's what Jose said in the summer.
  6. Pretty sure he hasn't got his work permit yet.
  7. What does that have to do with anything? If you want to talk politics, we have a thread for it in the general chat section. In the football section, please stick to discussing football ability.
  8. Well at least his penalty taking abilities will fit right in at utd!

  10. Eden doesn't strike me as a guy who cares much about numbers, though.
  11. He is, but we're "hijacking the deal" I reckon our name is just being thrown in there to raise the Liverpool bid.
  12. Plays for Basel. Scored a couple against us and made a fool of Cahill. I don't want and I'm almost certain that our name is being thrown in to increase the Liverpool bud, but the guy is one of, if not the hottest African prospect ATM.
  13. But you're missing the key element here: if we had waited till the summer, we would be lucky to sell him for 20-25m. That is the incentive to sell him now when utd are panic-buying.
  14. But that's the beauty of it. This isn't just a sale, it's a statement of intent by the board: Jose is here to stay and we are sticking with this new philosophy and project.
  15. 1. Juan was always going to leave because he never fit Jose's system. If it weren't now then in the summer. Hence we were always going to need to replace him in the summer. 2. This is our only chance to get anywhere near 40m for him because first united are panic buying and second his value will drop after the WC because he is not a starter for Spain. 3. We don't need the money, but getting 40m is excellent for the club and will change Jose's policy in the market in the summer because he will have 40m more to spend. 4. Juan leaving does not really weaken us because he has been a squad player this season. Yes, it damages our squad depth, but for 40m, I'm pretty sure that the club and Jose would be thinking that it's worth it. 5.Because there are a lot of players leaving in the summer and because we will need to replace them, then it makes perfect sense to sell Juan to the highest bidder. We need to reduce this season's deficit in the balance significantly and show a "positive trend" in order to be applicable for the Annex XI which is crucial for us complying with the FFP rules. 6. Business wise thus is the perfect signing: A lot of money while not weakening our squad. We can complicate it all you want but what probably happened is that united came in with huge bid for Juan and of course the board had to consider it because you can't ignore a 40m bid for a squad player. Juan knows that he doesn't fit Jose's system and wants to play more so he asked the club to be allowed to leave. The club realizes that it is a great piece of business and has the respect accept Juan's wish.
  16. Lmao at this thread. It's like half the forum is PMSing We're getting 40m pounds for a guy who has mostly sat on the bench this season and he's a great guy and great player who is getting the playing time he deserves. It's good for all parties involved. Just wish him the best of luck for he's done for the club and move on.
  17. Actually we're still voting on the format of the league. We could have two divisions with 12 teams each or three divisions with 8 teams each. Give us your vote
  18. Tbf, Mata's situation here is not comparable to Rooney's situation at united. Rooney is united's best player while Mata can't get a game for us at the moment.
  19. It's somewhere in the last 20-30 pages, so probably not. I didn't even read the whole thing. But in the subtitles there were a few headlines including "Chelsea want preagreement for Rooney" and "Poll: Is Mata worth 37m?" and stuff like that..
  20. Welcome, mate. There are no more PL teams available. There are a few championship ones, though. It might be worth it to create a new team since teams that are inactive would be a bit unbalanced. Once your request is accepted, challenge any team you want for a friendly. I suggest you start by reading the rules. Good luck
  21. Not to go into tactics too much here, but it is the role that Oscar as well the striker has been playing and their movement in the final third that is allowing Hazard to win us game recently (taking nothing away from Hazard himself, of course).
  22. That was this morning. Someone actually posted the link to the article here in this thread.
