Yeah, the pictures looked worse than than the video, and I think a one match ban is probably fair, but had the lino not seen it, he would have gotten 4 no doubt.
-
He did do something wrong actually, but luckily for us, even though Mike Dean did not see the what happned and actually booked Torred for the trip (wtf! he's worse than I thought!) the lino saw the hand but not the scratch so the FA can't do anything about it.

Haha, I remember last season, we didn't win a single match I did the feed for about 3 months IIRC

I'll take what he's having and some orange juice

Exactly! Managers never go into detail about their every decision because that is what they are hired to do: make those decisions. I said this before: we are very lucky, as fans, that Jose has been so open to the media about every single thing from transfers to selection and tactics; no other manager in the world would have taken so much time to explian all this to us and the media. Bu the interfering of the press in his every single choice he makes has gotten beyond ridiculous! I mean united are in 12th and Moyes keeps playing grandpa Giggs over someone like Kagawa yet we are the ones in "crisis" and Jose gets slatted for dropping KDB for last season's PFA player of the year nominee, Barzil's number ten and arguably the highest rated young prospect in the world that was being chased by every single big club last summer!

Awww. We're very "happ" to have seen you play 100 games for Chelsea as well, Rami
-
Plus, what rafa has done is improve their system, especially in attack. They were a one-man team last season at times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIb_GpWwTZY Great goal. And the composure to do that in the 93rd minute with the score tied at 2-2....

Probably won't find one till tomorrow.

Give it a rest. Kevin is a good player but he has not shown nearly enough to be starting ahead of the likes of Schurrle, Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Willian. It's very simple. We have 6 AMs for 3 positions. 3 will start, 2 will be on the bench and one will be left out. After the performance he put against Swindon, he was always going to be the one to be left out in the next couple of games. Next time he gets a chance, and he will get a chance, he needs to put in a great performance if he wants to keep his place. Oh, and David Luiz is a world class player, while Kevin is not, at least yet...and this is coming from someone who has been called a KDB fan boy in the past.

I read Mourinho stormed out and expected a furious reaction from him and yelling and shouting...very disappointed. He's doesn't look angry, he looks like he's late to the start of that TV show everyone is talking about but I've never seen
-
Right, time for a response from Kevin in the next match he gets.

Actually I could see what Jose was going for by starting Rami on the wing. He wanted us to play deep so that Tottenham's back four would push up then play the ball behind Naughton who is much slower than Rami. And we obviously tried to do that before the goal but it did not go well at all for a few reasons: The first, is that the long balls, especially by Lampard, were not good and were either over hit or under hit. Secondly, Dawson quickly caught on after the first 5 minutes and started covering the area behind Naughton. And third and most importantly is that Jose forgot about Torres's tendency to drift to the right wing when he's not getting the ball in the middle. He did way too often in the first half and thus attracted a defender to the place behind Naughton where Rami is supposed to run into. I think it would have worked much better with Schurrle who may not be as fast as Rami, but would have the instinct and natural tendency to drift inside and exploit the gap between Vertongen and Dawson created by Torres moving to the wing like he did in the chance where he went one-on-one with Lloris. On topic, Lampard had very little to do with how deep we play, so did Mikel or even Rami. It had more to do with Tottenham than us. It's simply that AVB set up Tottenham in the second half to play and press deeper to defend the lead instead of going for a second because he knew his team could not keep up the pressure they put in the first half for 90 minutes and because he probably thought they had a better chance scoring a second by inviting us forward and playing on the counter.

Good work, mate. But Jose already said that Hazard will miss the game with injury so it'll probably be Willian or preferably Schurrle instead of him in the starting XI.
-
Apparently the card was for the initial foul. At least, that's what the mail said. The rules are stupid and it is unfair, but again, that does not excuse Torres's action and he can have no complains if he does get a ban.
-
I agree in principle, it is not fair. But the ref saw Vertongen take the Villa players short off while Mike Dean did not see Torres scratch Vertongen so the FA will have to look into the Torres incident and not the Vertongen case. There is also no retrospective punishment for dives so Vertongen gets away with his play acting. It's not fair, but it's the rules. But all that would have been irrelevant if Torres didn't raise his hands to Vertongen's face.
-
Yeah, Steaua is the weakest team in the group and we absolutely MUST get the 3 points after the home defeat if we want to finish first.
-
This isn't boxing! It's not 4 it's 3 plus the one match suspension he already has for 2 yellow cards.
-
Let's try a picture since you don't seem to actually be reading what everyone is writing: That is violent conduct and therefor a 3 match ban. You are right, though, he should not have been given a second yellow card, but it is FA rules that you cannot appeal yellow cards. It has nothing to do with Chelsea or united. It's the rules.
-
Wrong incident. You're talking about the one where he got wrongly the second yellow. The incident where he might get a 3 match ban for is the one where he scratched Vertongen's face after the ref had blown for a foul at the start of the second half. But the two are not related. He will get a one match ban for getting two yellows. We can't appeal that, even if it was the wrong call. The one that he might get 3 extra matches for is the scratch that the ref says he didn't see. So the FA steps in and if they decide it was violent conduct, he directly gets a 3 match ban unless they decide it merits more. I don't think a two match ban is an option.
-
It would be 3 + the one that he already has for the 2 yellow cards he got. He intentionally put his hand in an opponents face and scratched him. It is not fair when you consider the whole events, but he really can't have any complaints once he does that.
-
I agree. But that's not reason to stop the debate, nor is it what makes it futile. It's the internet, you'll always have someone who cares more about being proven right than anything else in the world, you just have to ignore it if it annoys you.
-
Can't really complain if he does get a 4-match ban, it was a stupid thing to do.
-
Of course it is, this a football forum, all debates are futile, none of what anyone says here will ever effect what the club actually does. That kinda goes without saying...
-
And being above both Manchester clubs while already playing united, Everton and Tottenham away is not bad at all.
