Haven't read anything about seedings but changes have been made to the bookings system. I believe now that all yellow cards are removed before the semifinal or something like that.

I think Remy is more suitable than Destro. He complements Costa and Drogba much better: Raw pace, loves to run behind defenders, and a clinical finisher.

When have I ever chose not to believe a major media source (not individual reporter) saying this clearly that a transfer deal is done. Done, not will be done, not expected to be done according "inside sources"? Now fuck off Mr. grumpy cat. I'm enjoying the moment

This isn't some rumor they are making up, it's not "deal expected" or "Milan want". They are reporting news. They can't say "Fernando Torres has completed a move to AC Milan." unless they have clear evidence that he has.

Everyone is invited to an orgy at my house to celebrate! :delight:

Chelsea FC and Fernando Torres has agreed to a move to for the Spanish striker to AC Milan according to the Daily Mail. https://twitter.com/MailSport/status/505408193410134016 The deal comes after increasingly strong rumors of Milan's interest in the 30 year-old who is flying to Milano tonight and will have his medical tomorrow according to Milan's official channel. Torres' time at the Bridge has been disastrous to put it lightly. The striker whom Chelsea broke the British transfer record for back in January 2011, has gone through too many goal droughts scoring only 20 goals in his 110 EPL appearances for the club, and found himself out of Jose Mourinho's plans at the start of this new season. We await for confirmation of the deal from the official Chelsea website. In related news, Chelsea are said to have opened talks with QPR for acquiring Loic Remy as Torres' replacement. Rumors had been flying around that Chelsea might look to Roma's Mattia Destro, but Remy seems the more logical replacement for Torres in terms of style of play and also in financial terms, especially after the Roma president came out yesterday claiming that Destro is "100% staying". Remy had already saw an 8.5m deal to Liverpool collapse this summer after he failed his medical, but I'm sure it's nothing Eva Carneiro can't fix Thanks for the memories, Fernando; I think I speak for all Chelsea fans when I say: We are beyond delighted to see you join Milan! Middlesbrough FC have confirmed that Chelsea's highly rated U21 striker, Patrick Bamford, has joined the club on a season-long loan via their official website. The 20 year old had sparked interest from at least 10 clubs this summer after scoring 29 goals on loan at MK Dons and Derby last season, as he told Boro's official channel: Patrick explained that the reason the loan was delayed was due to a hold up in the paper work, and promised the Boro faithful lots of goals. Boro's manager, and Jose Mourinho's ex-assistant at Real Madrid, Aitor Karanka, seemed just as eager to work with Bamford: “Everyone knows that Patrick is a very good player with a bright future in the game,” said a delighted Aitor. “He scored a lot of goals during his previous loan spells and will be a good addition to our squad." “I first enquired about trying to bring Patrick to Middlesbrough last December so I am delighted that everything has now been agreed. “I’m looking forward to working with him.” Best of luck to Pat and fingers crossed that is not the last Chelsea strikers transfer news we'll hear this weekend Click here to view article.

Well, right on cue Best of luck, Pat.

But the rumors of him being loaned out to Boro have been going on long before Costa's injury or Milan's in terest in Torres. I guess, though, it has worked out for the best that his loan has been delayed in case we need him here first. Though I genuinely doubt Jose would rely on him till January.

Why don't they stream the PC live on YouTube like they used to last season?
-
Don't like the fact that his loan is taking so much time. I hope he does end up at Boro eventually.

Kind Draw For Blues In The Champions League Group Stages

I'm not dipping my balls into anything, thank you very much! -
I think it's because in English (or Arabic or even Spanish) we're used to names ending with an 'a' being girls names. Different in Italian. But I agree with RoyalBlues, "Destro" more than makes up for it!
-
At Anfield, you always have a big chance to win if you defend well. We showed that last season. Of course it's tough, I just think that Goodison is tougher.
-
I love his calm celebration. It's like he's saying "No big deal, I do that all the time" and then yawns!
-
He has a very feminine name. Why Mattia not Matteo? Were his parents expecting a girl? That just ran through my mind as I was reading the topic title. I thought I'd share it with you all...
-
I think he was injured. Not talking about the injury he sustained in the first match of preseason. He got injured again after he recovered from that with the U21s. That may be why he hasn't been loaned yet. Plus, isn't the loan window inside England open for a week after the transfer deadline?.

Goodson is one of the toughest grounds to go. Even tougher than the Emirates and Anfield, IMO. Their home record is always in the top 3 in the league. This is no walk in the park.
-
And they completely outplayed us throughout that match but Frank somehow nicked 2 goals.

Kind Draw For Blues In The Champions League Group Stages
CHOULO19 posted a topic in Chelsea Articles
For the second year in a row, Chelsea were fortunate enough to get a favorable draw in the Champions League group stages; drawing all of Schalke, Sporting Lisbon and Maribor. The draw which was held in Monaco this afternoon seemed to stretch on for hours with the usual needless long introductions and Gianni Infantino 'jokes'. But Blues fans will have had a a big grin on their faces once the draw was made. Not only have we managed to avoid the toughest teams in each of the three spots in our group, but the draw also means that the squad won't be traveling long distance for away matches; something that can prove extremely helpful in the EPL, especially if you consider the fact that we matches such as Liverpool, Arsenal and City away after CL midweek games. On the other hand, our direct English rivals, Arsenal and Manchester City both got draws that they will be less than happy about in two of the toughest groups with long away trips to Russia and Turkey. The full draw for the 8 groups is: Click here to view article. -
Champions League Group Stage Draw - Who Can Chelsea Draw?
CHOULO19 replied to CHOULO19's topic in Chelsea Articles
Couldn't have come up with a better draw if I tried. Easy group with not a lot of traveling miles. Tough groups for City and Arsenal and trips to Moscow and Turkey respectively -
I read it's a season loan with an obligation to buy at the end of it.
