Well, if everyone here is capable of having a mature discussion, the thread wouldn't be locked.

Well the rule is new so that avatar would not be allowed now either. The idea is that we wish to protect the image of the forum. Believe it or not, people who want a mature discussion and less likely to sign up to a forum if the first thing they see is someone with a Lampard avatar with an X over his face or a Torres avatar with his head replaced by a donkey's.

Me? No, never. I'm always the guy who's saying we'll win the big games when we are the underdogs and everyone is saying we will get smashed, but that's not the case here at all. We're expected to get the win, but it's the scum, in November, right before and international break, when we're not exactly setting the world alight, at Anfield after THAT game last season, when we're on an unbeaten run and Liverpool are supposedly struggling and in need of a big win to turn their season around. It's just set up too perfectly for Liverpool to get an 'upset' win.

You just know this is going to be THAT game of the season where everything goes wrong. Not confident at all and would bite your hand off for a draw right now. That international break can't come quick enough.

We've said this countless times in the past 3 years, but it was finishing again that let us down yesterday. We had 10 shots on target yesterday; the exact same amount we had two weeks ago when we put 6 past them! Surprised that some still haven't realized this: Our finishing is very inconsistent. If Roma and CSKA draw in the next round, even if City lose to Bayern, all they need is to beat Roma in the final round and they'd have a 3 way tie at 5 points (assuming CSKA lose to Bayern in their final game) and City have by far the best GD so they would go through. What a crazy match that was! Made it more difficult than it had to be, and obviously disappointing, but a point is not the end of the world. Still very much in the driving seat. On the bright side, City lost again in the CL!

Haha, it's not necessarily a political expression. "بيضة القبان" basically means someone or something that can tip the balance one way or the other. Though it is mostly used in politics.
