Question: Is he playing better now that he did in his last year and a half in his last spell? I think he is. Maybe because he isn't playing as much and is hence in a better physical condition, but he's really surpassed all my expectations so far.

The danger with Newcastle lies in how physical they are, especially their midfield. Very strong, and quick as well. They've shown in flashes this season that they can completely bully teams at times and they seem to have a knack of raising their game against top opposition. That said, their defense looks very unconvincing to say the least. I honest half expect a crazy match similar to the 6-3 at Goodison.

Thought he did fantastically well in defense yesterday. I haven't seen the numbers, but he made several crucial tackles and interceptions in midfield and at the edge of our box.

They've dominated possession and had ZERO chances in the second half while we had a handful and scored. And I am almost certain that they have ran more than us because our defensive shape is allowing us to defend without having to cover spaces with everyone defending a certain zone.

What are you talking about? Our defensive organization has been brilliant in the second half. The best I've seen in a long while. Spurs have absolutely no space to work into. They can have 90% of the possession for another 90 minutes and as things stand they won't score.
