So he looks for certain profiles of players according to the needs of his team? Like every manager in the world does? If Jose-type was a thing, he would have sold Ronaldo, Sneijder, Deco, Quaresma...etc.

"Mourinho type player" has to be the biggest bullshit in football since Fabregas supposed "Barca DNA"
-
Yeah, and Boga should be starting ahead of Hazard!

Please enlighten us and guide us to the only truth, oh omniscient one!

Aparently we've included him in our CL squad. That's a bit out of the blue...

Fabregas loves more than anything to win and not in a selfish way. And he, from day one, seemed to embrace the group mentality. That's close enough for now.

Let me help, Chelsea are playing in only one of the matches.

If anyone really needs any proof, a recent scientific study at Portsmouth university showed that foreign intervention in a civil war is 100 times more likely if the country is oil rich: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/intervention-in-civil-wars-far-more-likely-in-oilrich-nations-10006648.html

Yeah, I agree. thought he did well against City even though he was isolated. And again popped up with a goal. His ration is remarkable. Though he did seem to tire out around the 65-70 min mark, obviously from lack of playing time this season.

It's financial (besides the fact that they can't even fill half of the San Siro these days). One of the main reasons why Juve have managed to dominate in Italy by having a stable finances throughout the economic crisis was because they became the first big team in Italy to actually own their stadium. Granted the Olympico was not as iconic as the San Siro, but financial stability of owning the stadium beats the advertising appeal of history.

I think that was one of the reasons to bring Didier back. We've lost a lot of people who know "how to win" and know the "Chelsea way". Luckily Cesc already has that mentality, along with Didier and JT and to a lesser extent Iva Cech and Mikel. Azpi and Matic seem to be on their way, but that is why we need to win trophies and play cup finals and title deciding matches. That experience is what creates that kind of mentality.

Again, Remy or Drogba?

In retrospective, that was probably the best refereeing performance we've had in our games for quite a while. Not that he didn't have a relatively easy match to officiate.
-
He still, till now, has his CL final celebration photo as his Twitter display pic. He clearly loves the club and would have wanted to play for Chelsea, but he's smart enough to realize that he needs to move on. A footballer's career is a short one, he can't afford to waste more years.

I can genuinely see Liverpool offering 15m for Cahill. He'd be such a Liverpool signing!
-
Count your blessings. The senior pundit for both EPL and CL here is Andy Gray!
-
Yeah, people would have been delighted with 10m in the summer, but only because the memory of a football fan is about the same of a gold fish. I honestly don't think Ryan has showed anything at Soton that we did not know he was capable of. The general consensus by Chelsea fans in the first few months of last season was that him and Azpi ought to be our starting fullbacks. It hasn't just been "a few decent performances", he's been a key player for them. He deserves the praise he is getting and more.
-
Yeah, that was the fee agreed on from the summer. I honestly think Saints got the better of that deal.
-
They're still busy with his story of allegedly punching a London bus yesterday!
-
I like his family-like personal relations with the players. His message for Salah on Instagram was so sweet.

Loan only till the end of the season and not for 18 months. He needed it as he was clearly not making much progress here. His Chelsea career is not yet dead. Fiorentina are a good team and if he can shine there he'll have a decent chance of returning here, even if he does end up being loaned there again next season. He's still very young, he has got time.
-
Even though I'm convinced that this is probably in his best interest, I'm still sad to see him go. He's a hard working guy who always gives his best and rarely put a foot in wrong in all of his time here. Very consistent player even if rarely outstanding. His attitude has always been top notch. How many loans did he go on to lower divisions while patiently waiting for his chance even though everyone rated PVA more than him? Unfortunately, Jose was not willing to give him a real chance. Not last season when Ash went out of favor and Jose decided to try a RB instead of him nor this season where we paid A LOT of money for an experienced backup instead of having him. To me, he'll always be one of the eleven heroes that started in Munich. Thanks for everything, Ryan. I genuinely wish to see many more achievements in your future.

23 Good job by the club not allowing ridiculous numbers, that is if there even was any truth to the 74 rumors.

Our great business deals are LITERALLY driving opposition fans mad with envy!

Well, he was the first Colombian player to sign a professional contract with Chelsea which technically makes him the first ever Colombian Chelsea player. Yeah, it seems he did return from Bastia last month. Why we're loaning out a 17yo is beyond me, though.
