  1. Fergie was never a team man, though. He was the boss and always maintained that relation with his players. Jose is more than that to players. In the last stint he was more or less the same age as the players so he wanted to celebrate like them, now they're like his kids and he's rather let them have their fun while he enjoys from a distance. Does that make him a tiny bit less motivated to win trophies, maybe, but he's obviously still incredibly good at just that.
  2. ^^ No, I completely agree. There were plenty of times this season where Remy was clearly offering more than Costa and should have been started and I expect that to be the case as well next season. While the case of perception is probably true for most fans, I think for Jose the main reason he kept picking Diego is the pressing that he offers that Remy cannot do as effectively. Also there's always the concern of wanting to play Costa when on poor form to help him regain his best form in which he is clearly our best option. That said, Remy has been by far the more consistent of the two.
  3. Tbh it's not my assessment, it's just what all the Italian papers were saying this morning and that he is set to turn Galliani and Milan down. Not sure if Galliani has a trick up his sleeve, though.
  4. I know, I know, mate. The story is sadly similar every time I hear it. A few months ago it was a bunch of school kids: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/07/world/americas/43-missing-students-a-mass-grave-and-a-suspect-mexicos-police-.html?_r=0 The US and the corrupt Mexican government militarize the police with the excuse of the so called "war on drugs" and the weapons are used to kill schoolboys trying to demonstrate financial cuts to their school, or innocents civilians who have not broken the law including unfortunately your uncle. All signs point that the Mexican police is no longer the protector of the people, it is just the biggest and most powerful gang in the country with international support, funding, and arming.
  5. He's not young and arrogant anymore, he's now mature...and arrogant!
  6. Did you have to quote the whole damn thing just add that single word?! I feel like I've spent half my morning scrolling through this page!
  7. A return to Milan is unlikely. I think he'll take a year off.
  8. Last time we had a discussion about "Legend" tags at TC it did NOT end very well!
  9. What? I can't even understand what you're saying. What does that mean? Does such a thing even exist?!
  10. He's played about 200 minutes for us this season in three different competitions. Jose obviously fairly trusts the lad.
  11. Predicting how many Stoke will put past Liverpool in 2015, no doubt!
  12. 15 years today since the liberation of the south of Lebanon from the Israeli occupation. One of the great examples of the triumph of the will of the people over incredible power and injustice. Though there remains a few Lebanese villages under occupation, I could not be living where I am living today, working where I am working if it weren't for the bravery and sacrifices of ordinary people who decided to fight for their freedom and rights and the rights and freedom of future generations, including mine! The so called "war on drugs" is an injustice and crime against humanity.
  13. Hmm, maybe. Didn't think about it this way.. PS: If so, is he counting the community shield?
  14. Don't get the bullying the crying Liverpool fan is getting. Sure, he's being over dramatic but the guy is showing real passion for his club which as fans we really should be respecting. If you don't care a bit too much during the low points how are you going to over the top celebrate the trophies and achievements?
  15. Teared up badly when he came off. If anyone moves this to "ex-players", heads will roll!
  16. We have to do everything in our power to make sure he stays for next season. There is simply no better backup striker in the league.
  17. Can't believe some people would actually say no to this. Honestly just can't wrap my head around that!
  18. 8th league title of his career.
  19. My condolences, mate. Very sorry to hear that
  20. And now comes the realization that EPL is finished and that my life is empty without it! I could kiss you right now!
  21. I think it's obvious we'll be looking for a backup keeper, a striker, an attacking midfielder, probably a defender as well as replacing any player that might be heading out )apart from Didier and Petr, obviously). Could be a very busy summer...
  22. I'm not narrowing it down or taking away from the trophies he won here. I'm saying that is what is going to happen and every time I (or I assume most Chelsea fans) see that, I'm going to cringe, shake my head and get angry at Frank for choosing this for very little gains. That's just....WONG! City are intentionally trying to tarnish his Chelsea image and legacy and he is happily allowing it!
  23. Of course they would. If you're talking about a player's long career you're going to show his last game, if you're talking about his goal record you're going to show his last goal. Now, both will be with him captaining City.
  24. In the future, whenever someone is going to do a documentary about Frank, or do a bit about his career or record goals from midfield, they will likely show an image of his last match in the EPL and it will be him in a CIty shirt with the armband around his arm. Let that sink in for a second...
