  1. Looks pretty bad atm. But if it stops snowing by tomorrow morning, they'll be able to clear the pitch in time, right?
  2. Oh, right. Yeah there should be. The amount will probably be determined by his wages X the amount of time he has left on his contract. At least that's how it works on FM
  3. Luiz, definitely. He was probably the only one that played well & with any heart.
  4. Could the FA have charged him if he was a bit more aggressive in his criticism? Also, the media would have gone crazy if he did that.
  5. Yep, AVB said that in the press conference
  6. Yeah true but performance wise there's no way he can be worse than our #9. I don't see Torres doing anything at all on Sunday.
  7. Devastated that JT is out. He always puts in beastly performances after being vilified by the media.
  8. No, you don't get it. We're (or at least I'm) not saying all this "fuck the FA" stuff because he was stripped of the captaincy. It's because they did it without a verdict actually being given to him. They are free to do it if and when he is proven guilty and I won't blame them at all. But it is wrong for them to do it now imo
  9. The way they all revere Gerrard & Rooney - both of whom are c*nts - and abuse Terry, Lampard and Cole sickens me. JT should have retired after they stripped him of the captaincy the first time, after the Bridge affair. This one, I can still understand BUT ONLY AFTER HE IS PROVEN GUILTY. To have stripped him of the captaincy after the alleged affair was ridiculous. Especially ridiculous when they chose to take the armband away from him and give it to a DRUG ADDICT FUCK THE FA
  10. He should just announce his retirement from England. The way the likes of Terry, Cole and even Lampard have been abused by the majority of England fans is disgraceful and I just wish that they would just tell them all to fuck off and retire. Won't happen, I know.
  11. WTF are you talking about? Can you stop posting basically the same thing in every single thread
  12. Me too. It was sickening to see us follow that up with the 3 consecutive draws which meant that the win was for nothing
  13. Absolutely. This is why I am so worried. Because the team simply does not have the motivation anymore when we play the "smaller" teams. We can't take the game by the scruff of the neck.
  14. I definitely do not want Andre to get the sack anytime soon, but I am genuinely worried about our chances of getting CL football next season. We are only 5 and 4 points ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool respectively. A defeat on Sunday would mean that goes down even further. Liverpool are capable of beating the bigger teams. They're always up for those games. If they manage to get someone scoring regularly then they'll be able to turn those draws into wins because their defense is superb and they can count on only having to score one or two goals max to win a game. We should be able to get fourth, but our recent performances and lack of desire make me very worried indeed.
  15. He has been surprisingly fair and unbiased ever since he became a pundit & commentator. He says the occasional daft thing but by and large I've been pleasantly surprised by the way he's acted.
  16. Okay then I completely agree with that part and in general with your post. I was optimistic at the start of the season that he would be able to become a 15 goal a season striker (I was sure that he would never be able to reach the heights he did at Liverpool) but that's completely gone now too. I can't wait to see him gone. I'm 100% sure he will be sold in the summer. Hopefully Drogba will be gone too and our board will replace them with a young, hungry striker.
  17. Only got 23. Missed most of the 92-97' lads such as Spencer, Stein, etc.
  18. Yes, none of that is Torres' fault. But don't you think, when the fullbacks (our only natural wide players) get into crossing positions, that he should try and find space for himself in the box? It doens't matter if the last 19993420349 crosses have been shit and have gone into the stands/no where near him. But shouldn't he try to find space and cause confusion in the box? Because as I said in the Torres thread, there were quite a few occasions in the 2nd half where he just stood where he was and didn't make any attempt to run towards the goal or find a better position where he would have more space and time on the ball.
  19. The fans have become that way because of what Roman & his board have done with regards to hiring & firing managers. Sure there would be some plastics that would still act the same way but I think the majority that have become "impatient" are only the way they are because of the actions of the board. By the way, I'm curious. I wasn't a part of this forum in the summer of 07 but can anyone remember what the general population of fans was saying after we failed to win the title? Were there calls for Jose to be sacked?
  20. Yeah, I think it was more noticeable after Lukaku came on. Did you notice that too? I think AVB asked him to go there after the substitution.
  21. He only played for about 10mins and didn't get the ball much but he made one good movement where he took the ball past a defender and got a decent-albeit-feeble shot on target. Which was more than what our #9 managed in the entire game.
  22. Very good post and I agree with mostly everything. I am very disillusioned after yesterdays performance. I think the biggest problem is that a lot of these players know that they won't be here next season and so they have nothing to prove anymore. Hence the desire to win games is gone. I include the likes of Torres in this. He has given up. He is simply waiting to go back to Spain in the summer. Say what you want about Liverpool and their below average shitty signings, but they show more desire in one game than what we've shown in 18months. (it kills me to say this btw because I hate the scum more than anything) I just want to fastforward to the summer when AVB will be able to make some proper signings and a lot of these twats will be gone. But like you, I am getting less and less optimistic about AVB. I was very, very supportive of him up til the last month or so. He has done some really idiotic things and I can't get past them. Not playing McEachran and Bertrand, stupid substitutions, etc. But I'm still willing to give him more time because this team is absolutely awful and he's inherited it so it's not really his fault.
