He needs to stop these clownish moments he has every few games. Because otherwise he is a good defender. His mistakes are costing us goals. The problem is that it's not a result of lack of ability but a lack of concentration and a simple matter of using his BRAIN to decide what's the better option. He will hopefully learn. He has tremendous potential. The media go crazy everytime something happens. For example, did anyone from the media actually blame Cole for that third goal yesterday?!?! Nope. All I saw was them saying that Cole's exclusion from the starting line-up was scandalous. Ridiculous. His mistakes are bad and he needs to learn - quickly. But he is not the only problem we have. People should take a look at Cole, Cahill and Ivanovic's performances yesterday as well. Luiz's mistake "gifted" them a goal but none of the others were any better.

Sturridgeshould be given a run out a few games in a row in that position 4) Midfield is still crap but we only have 6 midfielders at the moment: Lampard, Essien, Meireles, Ramires, Mikel and Romeu. Mikel and Meireles aren't good enough. Mikel should only play in certain games. In majority of games, he hsouldn't.

I dont understand why Bosingwa is getting so much hate. YES he is a shit footballer, but Cole has been just as bad as him this season. It just gets overlooked because it's easier to blame the brainless Portuguese for everything. And apart from that goal line clearance (which was superb), cole was a complete liability tonight.

It's the defending that worries me more. Individually, these players are not THAT BAD. Yet when they have to defend as a unit (defending crosses, etc) they look lost. Like they've just met each other and have no clue what their roles are. Unbelievable. And it's been this way for many years now. I don't understand why we always have so many problems from set pieces/crosses from wide areas

Lampard did fuck all so if he ever moans about not starting AVB should just show him the DVDs of his recent performances. Meireles although shit was more suited to the type of tactics we wanted to use today. Fuck. If we had a solid defense and not these clowns, we'd have won this comfortably.

Can't believe it. We completely dominated them in the 2nd half until their goal. They looked LOST. But thanks to schoolboy defending by Cole, Luiz and Cech, we've lost this. For their third, I personally place the most blame on Cole. Yes, both Luiz and Cech's defending was a joke. But Cole's defending was a DISGRACE. He was practically in line with cavani when the ball was played over the top. Yet he didn't give a fuck and let him run past. Fucking liability. Well after that we totally lost whatever foothold we had in the game. Couldn't put 5 decent passes together. Tactics-wise, we werent that bad. Individuals let AVB and the team down. We still CAN win this tie, but it's going to take something very very special indeed.
