Chelsea need a RB, LW (allowing Mata to play central - Hoilett would be a good low cost choice) and a RW ( to give Sturridge competition - Krasic on loan with option to buy would be a good choice) Of course Hazard would be a fantastic addition but with the ever growing list of clubs chasing him, it could difficult to land him. In order to do this we need Kalou and/or Malouda out of the door.

I hate to say it but Luiz doesn't get the basics right. There is no doubt that he's a talented player but he needs to work on his concentration and decision making.

Torres has been poor and we have to accept it. I really hope that he recaptures the form he had a couple of years ago but we'll see. I have no problem with the criticism that he gets as he cost a huge amount of money and we've had little return for it. The man is becoming a millstone around the club's neck and as long as he lacks goals, Chelsea will be mocked for wasting £50m.

Chelsea will not win the league this season. Sad but true - we lack the variety of options and too many key players are 'over the hill' at the same time. Not enough quality players in their mid 20's to give the balance that it clearly needs. I expect us to finish 3rd/4th and 7-12 points behind the eventual winners. This will be the last season for quite a few of the current squad and I just being realistic. I just hope that JM, OR, DS, RL and RB get a real chance to emerge this season...

I must admit that I was initially disappointed with the Meireles purchase but I've come around. He is a good player but wasn't the type of player that we needed. Seeing Diego go on loan for the season (Wolfsburg to A. Madrid) last night was so annoying. He was the kind of player that the club needed and the side still lacks invention.
