This is actually a very interesting pick RDM has done, and on paper I like it. But I still cry when i see Mikel and Lampard in the double pivot. We desperatley need someone there unless Romeu is gonna be a starter for us.

I want Oscar to have at least 15 minutes of playtime. I want Sturridge to have at least 20 minutes of gametime as CF. I want us to win and dont concede a goal, something like 2-0. If that happened, it would definatley make my week.

I would say we lack both defensive protection AND creativity in the double pivot. Who do you think has the creativity in the double pivot? :S

Oviousley you missed the point of my post. It's that I think we will still struggle alot because we havent solved the double pivot issue/deep lying playmaker one. We were crazy to sign Modric and now we just seem to ignore that position.

Really, what is going on with Romeu? He hasnt played in ages. If he's leaving, why isnt he? And if he's staying, why isnt he playing?

Fulham scores 5. Swansea scored 5. WBA scored 3. We scored 0 against BRIGHTON. Yeah, we've made awesome signings but we still got serious issues. I mean, did the board forget why they were after Modric?

why would we? we got enough offensive force. clearly our issues atm are in the defense. id rather have a rb who defends well than have decent crossings.

Unless Iva is injured, he will be the main choice for RB this season. Its that simple. Azpi will have to prove himself and that wont happen overnight. Perhaps in 2-3 seasons he will be our main RB, but certainly not for this season. And btw, people need to stop hyping up this Azpi guy. He aint THAT good..

Havent we practically signed Moses? If so, signing Hulk aswell seems like madness. I dont understand why we dont focus more on signing a creative DM...That and a RB (if Moses is going to sign) is #1 prio imo.

Im talking about his efforts in the FA cup and CL. Drogba could often come off the bench and save the day. Or just with one ball out of nowhere turn it into a goal. He was the perfect big game man, we dont have that anymore. But mostly I was reacting to the sentance "rot on the bench". There is no reason for Torres/Cavani to rot on the bench if they are both in the team. The only worry id have is what happens with Sturridge.

More possession and control of the game. To be honest most often its us losing the ball because of stuipid mistakes that usually create most difficulties in the defense. I think we usually manage to defend quite well when the other team is starting their attack deep from their own side. And this commonly used sentance "the midfield will get overrun"... I dont quite buy that. Why would that midfield be overrun anymore than with Mikel and lampard in the double pivot? Lamps isnt a natural DM anyway and usually drift up often. Plus we'd be more offensive and probably score more goals. Oh but there IS a huge problem, even if you fail to see it. 1. Lampard isnt a DM and shouldnt play in the double pivot. Period. 2. Our build-up play is horrible. We havent got a DM who is creative and that is creating difficulties linking the midfield and defense with the offense.

What does Hulk have to do with Oscar? They play in different positions.
