Why would we spend that much money when we've already got a player like that: Sturridge. PLUS we've signed a RW: Moses. No, we dont need a striker and I dont want us to buy one. Torres at least seems to get back on track, and I feel comfortable in giving Danny some responsibility and trust if Torres backfires. Plus what would happen with Danny if we bought a striker? Winger? Hardly... It would be a HUGE waste of talent there.

First of all, it's early in the season so what you are claiming dont really have to be true. It does, however, make sense that Mata may have less assists this season and the reason would be quite easy: We've gotten more creative players in the team. I mean, Hazard, Oscar and now Victor Moses. With these players we will have alot pace, quickness, technique and creativity up front which will make it possible for us to not ONLY go through Mata. He's not the only one who we need to be creative and dictate the play. Secondly, I believe Mata needs abit of rest. We depended on him HUGELY last season and he played every single game basically. He's also been active this summer and is now playing all games again. With the players we've gotten we can afford to rest him abit, and we should, to let him regain energy and just take a well deserved rest. Third, regarding what @Superblue_1986 said about Mata picking up the ball deeper. I believe that once Oscar has established himself in the team, he will be the one (at least mostly) picking up the ball deeper and then both link up with the offense and be creative, while having say Mata and Hazard on the wings floating freely tho. So what I really want to say is that, just because we've gotten more players that are creative and similar to Mata, it doesnt make Mata a lesser player. It just gives us more opportunities and other ways to go through than him, and he definatley needs abit of rest. This season is gonna be awesome because I can already see a huge improvement in our attacking play, and i fking love it!

If you guys think Oscar or Moses will start, then you will most probably be disappointed.

Regarding the creative part, I think it's quite simple and you dont really have to make it that difficult. Lets take Mikel as an example. He's a good example of a DM, but he isnt creative at all. WIth that I mean that his passing is just average, he doesnt have pace, he doesnt link up well with the midfielders and attack. Someone like Modric is the perfect example of a creative DM. And the reason I think we need one of those is simply because Mikel has his ups and downs and doesnt really perform on a high level constantly. Essien is on the down. Romeu, well i dont know what the hell is going on with that lad, and Meireles is just average. With a creative DM our counters will be alot faster and we wouldnt have to stop and pass the ball around a numerous and unneccessary times or take too many touches (like Mikel usually does).

Absolutley great game, however the 2nd half was quite boring. Anyway, Im a litttle surprised by the fact that RDM isnt trying to rotate the squad abit more. We got Essien, Romeu, Sturridge that havent been playing anything and I reckon those players can be really useful and vital to us.

If here were to leave without be given some quality time and decent chances as CF that would be the biggest mistake for a long time.

No, we dont, and I cant wait for this thread to be locked. We got enough players able to score goals. Torres should be able to score around 20, I believe Sturridge can definatley score more than that. Hazard should do a few, Mata, Lampard, Terry/iva on corners etc. It would be absolutley stuipid to buy another 50m striker. We just dont need that. And we wont get that. At least not this window. Perhaps if things look really terrible and one of Torres/Sturridge go on a serious injury, we might bring in someone like Cavani in january. But for now, I think it's safe to say we do look good. However I would definatley prefer a creative DM. Other than that, we dont need more players this window. We've bought some talents and tbh Im very happy with how this transfer window turned out. Lets not get crazy here.

Cavani wont happen. We wont go with 3 strikers for one spot. If we should sign anything else (we wont tho) this window, it should be a creative DM.

We got Sturridge. We'll be fine as long as he's given enough playtime and we stop treat Torres like a poor little child.

Cech Iva - Cahill - Terry - Cole Ramires - Mikel - Bertrand Mata - Sturridge - Hazard I see this as a must win game. Lets see what this team can do. With that team, I think we can get a 2-0 lead and then get Romeu and Essien in. Plus give Sturridge some CF time.

Cech Iva - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Lampard Ramires - Oscar - Hazard Torres Sturridge on for Torres in the 70-75th minute. Essien on for Mikel around the same time.
