You mean the directors changed a lot. Keep saying this. Squad rotation is a strategy used by the directors. It happened with Maresca. Its happening with Rosenior too.
-
But Badiashile is just awful. Why he Rosenior's 'Big Ben' keeps starting over Josh is beyond me.
-
Even though the CBs were ball watching for the west ham goal, Sanchez should've done better there.
-
Also curious to know if Estavao is finally ready to be a mainstay in the starting 11. Back to back starts in the league and in Europe is a good sign.
-
Just like against the weakened Palace, this is another game where Chelsea is expected to win. Doesn't matter how its done, but that it is. If Rosenior can add to that win column, kudos to him.
-
Delap doesn't do much in aerial situations, defensively or in an offensive sense. Might as well keep him up front to launch counter attacks
-
Estevao also being rested for Napoli. Red card came at the perfect time.
-
Feels that this would be a harsh penalty, if given.
-
Ooh. Penalty?
-
Perfectly weighted ball by Estevao for Joao Pedro.
-
Wish we had Estavao a lot sooner, then maybe Palmer wouldnt have been burned to the ground. If Palmer chooses to leave, hope we use the profit to sign a quality attacker that can share the duties with Estevao.
-
Estevao with almost another.
-
Ice cool Estavao
-
At least Estavao is seeing more minutes
-
Most likely starting Badiashile to save Fofana for Napoli. Remember when we could play Center backs 90 mins for back 2 back matches in the same week?
-
Calculated move..I wonder what kind of move that is. Any top ranking sponsor would prefer a club that plays in top tier competitions consistently and attracts viewers. Doesn't look like Clearlake has that on lock.
-
These are the kind of games where Rosenior can show he's better than Maresca. I.e. get a good result when you're expected to. Not because Palace is a weaker team., but because of the turmoil they're in Hopefully it won't be true to Chelsea form where we throw away a good opportunity
-
I think a manager like Mourinho or Conte would take a dim view towards something like this, especially if he's not backing it up with goals scored.
-
This, I sort of get. The younglings deserve a trial. But if they were worried about blocking pathways to Badiashile and Fofana, screw that.
-
It would be funny if Disasi returns, puts in a good shift in 1 or 2 games, and people start thinking he's the 2nd coming of Rudiger. Knowing how flip-flop some Chelsea fans are these days, it wouldnt surprise me.
-
Very few of those games in those 1.5 years, but he showed he could turn up when it mattered like in the conference league and CWC finals. Think he needs a good motivator too.
-
He is good when you tailor the system to not expose his weaknesses. I.e. dont crowd the box when balls are being crossed in, permit him to launch the ball instead of always playing out from the back. There are better keepers out there, but Sanchez is far from the biggest problems in our back line atm.
-
Not the best move we CAN do, but the best we WILL do, at least for now. It was already reported that Clearlake would never go for high salary, expensive CB unless they moved out other players like Fofana. Youth players with resale value will always be their first preference, no matter what their supporters keep saying. Clearlake's intentions are as clear as day.

True, but maybe that was what we needed more of this season? There were plenty of games against lesser sides (and Brentford is not a weak side based on the table) were the play was decent, but the result wasn't there. Don't want to jump to any conclusions here. On another day Brentford could've put away their chances and we could be having very different match reaction. At this stage I want to give the first team coach the benefit of the doubt. Not enough games played to conclude anything
