It should be obvious by now. It's not Maresca making all the calls with squad selection and subs. The hierarchy above him WANT to give certain players as much exposure and minutes as possible. There was an article in the Mail about this a few weeks back saying this is a calculated risk. They know we might have the odd draw or loss here and there because of it, but the directors accept it as necessary step.

Some of the reactions on the net to Palmer's latest mishap are so overblown It's as if he's out regularly like Lavia or Badiashile. This is the 1st ever season where he's been out for such an extended period. Symptoms of the modern football fan with attention deficit syndrome I guess.., ready to turn on a player and boo a former club player at the turn of a dime.

Could be wrong, but Palmer is out till at least December right? Don't think he'll make it for the Barcelona/Arsenal games. Wouldn't want him to start either, unless his match fitness is up.

No matter the result tomorrow, Chelsea will finish the weekend in the top 3. Good way to sign off before the international break.

Less than a minute, Estavao does what Garnacho and Neto couldn't do most of the game. Go figure.

Idiots should be huddling around Estavao. He was the one who created the chance.

A top class winger would have made the most of that counter. Garnacho unable to find Delap.

Earlier in the season, we were doing good from corners. Now for some reason every corner becomes short corner. WtF.

Neto at least looking more alive in the 2nd half. Can't do much. But still better.

Neto needs to be on the bench for a few games. He's been overused.

Need to take advantage when Wolves opens up their defense. Joao Pedro should have done better there.

Have to agree. Starting with Estavao would have been the more sensible option for this type of game. Only one in the squad with some kind of flair at this point in time.

Attackers are not able to do much against this Wolves defense. We need more aerial threat from Delap/Joao Pedro, or we need one of the players to use their flair & skill to dribble past a couple of Wolves players. Both looking unlikely atm.
