  1. Maresca himself expressing concerns over the pitch quality and injuries. The sane thing would be to not select Lavia, James, Neto or Gusto for this match. Same goes for Palmer and Jackson, because losing either of them will take us back to the dark ages. Would preserve Caicedo in cotton wool too.
  2. Eghbali: We thought Chelsea [was] frankly an asset, a business that was not terribly well managed on the football side, sporting side or promotional side.
  3. In his last game he said he was glad that Jackson broke his scoring drought. He then said he hopes Palmer does the same. Pretty wanting, considering he chopped the squad or at least allowed it to become overly reliant on these 2 players. Maybe he needs to have a couple of more elite players at his disposal. We certainly need at least one more elite player to join the back line. ATM, any chances of having clean sheets hinge on Sanchez being 100% on form.
  4. Yeah, the current owners will prefer low-balling the player with low wages and putting them on long-term contracts, just like the Chicago Bulls did with Scottie Pippen.
  5. The pitch is artificial., I heard? If so, just hoping for no injuries. Don't really care about the result.
  6. This. We no longer have the opportunity to rotate and take Palmer away from the firing line. Even if we decided on a 3 man midfield with Lavia, Enzo & Caicedo (and I don't mind this because this would force Maresca to play James/Gusto in their natural RB position), we will end up sacrificing a lot of creativity in midfield.
  7. He honestly shouldn't be starting under current form. But with Felix & Chukwuemeka moved out, and Nkunku in terrible form, we are beating a dead horse in Palmer. Worst thing for him to happen is to go down the Mount route.
  8. Sanchez and Colwill have been faultless in this game. Wonderful
  9. Palmer is playing at such a low tempo. Need to be more urgent and push at Everton for a 2nd goal.
  10. Jackson finally breaking his drought. Hopefully he can finish this season with a flourish.
  11. Well, we won't get any good out of James or Gusto if they're always being made to invert into midfield.
  12. I guess in Maresca’s setup, Cucurella is the only FB who gets to play in his natural position. Even if James miraculously puts his injury troubles behind him, he'll probably start pushing for a move soon.
  13. Maybe he has the right intentions. But he definitely needs to learn to say the right things. The stuff he said in past conferences, about the weather and fans affecting his players, all that feels a bit amateurish. To be fair, he said he's also learning. And for better or worse, that's were Chelsea is at. The owners, the players, the manager - everyone is learning on the go. Just hoping they all learn the right lessons.
  14. The sooner these clowns realize that Fofana is a crock, the better. In their mind, no doubt he is their star CB., and the main reason we haven't gone after a serious experienced CB target in the past 2 years.
  15. Disasi would like to have a word with you.
  16. Remember all those stories we used to hear about Lampard and Drogba staying late after training sessions., simply to work on their shooting with both left foot and right foot? Yeah, I don't think Jackson does that.
  17. Even if Jackson is the Maresca’s perfect forward, he needs some kind of reliable backup or competition in the striking department. Nkunku had downed tools. We need someone either with plenty of experience like Giroud, or a proven talent.
  18. By virtue of goal difference we should be above Nottingham forest. But our clownshow tactics and lineup have resulted in us throwing so many points to the wind, in all our easiest fixtures. And now we have to climb a mountain to make our last game of the season, against Forest, have any value.
  19. Any guesses as to why Cucurella, the previously derided LB of ours, is now a star performer., while previously quality full backs in James and Gusto are looking like shite. I wonder which of these 3 full backs are being made to invert or play out of position.
  20. Stroke of luck. If Caicedo was going to miss the next 2 games, that would have been our season done and dusted there.
  21. Things started turning around for Arsenal when they struck gold with their CB pairing and backed it up with a decent GK between the sticks. Unfortunately for us, the bone-headed directors in Winstanley and Stewart don't see the back line as a priority and keep thinking all problems will be solved when the ever-injured Fofana somehow returns to the line up.
  22. I wonder how much learning is needed for you to recognize that the PL fixtures should have higher priority than your conference league matches. Guy is talking like he is playing in 3 different competitions.
