  1. Hope he starts either Hato or James at LB. No experiments with Gusto out of position against Arsenal. As for CB. Hoping for a miracle in terms of performance there. Whoever he picks to start.
  2. Looks like this figure is worsened because UEFA doesn't recognize the owners sale of the club hotel and women's team to themselves. They tried to use a loophole only for it to come and bite them in the back.
  3. They need to make a banner of this and parade it around the grounds. Arrogant human being.
  4. We might still have to sell players to break even as per the UEFA stipulations. If the club doesn't make CL positions, the Palmer sale goes from being a probability to a necessity.
  5. To give full credit to Lavia, whenever he's picked to play, he doesn't seem to need much time to get back into the rhythm of things. Which speaks to his innate talent more than anything. Maybe he can be a difference maker on Sunday.
  6. Fabregas for me, out of sheer nostalgia factor if nothing else. Plus can you imagine a Fabregas-led Chelsea side going up against Arsenal?
  7. So does that mean we haven't beat them even once under BlueCo? Thats even more embarrassing than I thought. By law of averages, a win might be around the corner hopefully.
  8. Also it's absolutely telling about the standards of the current state of the club and the squad, that we as fans have to lay blame to Palmer, who had definitely had a poor game by his standards, for this Burnley result. Because of the sorry group of players we have like Fofana, we've come to accept that keeping a simple clean sheet and protecting a 1 goal lead at Stamford Bridge is impossible. In the Drogba-Lampard era, or even the Hazard era, Palmer would just be one of many other similarly talented players. No one would think too much if a Joe Cole or a Juan Mata had an off day. There were others to share the attacking burden, and we had defenders that could be relied on as a failsafe. I won't change my tune. This is all on BlueCo. The current iteration of BlueCo, namely Eghbali & Winstanley and their stooges, should either step the fuck up or get the fuck out. Don't really care which.
  9. According to Rosenior, apparently one specific Chelsea player was assigned to mark the Burnley goal scorer, but he ended up marking the wrong man twice for the last two corners. Wonder who that player is.
  10. Arsenal are apparently going to appoint highly regarded Jim Fraser as head of recruitment. The same Jim Fraser who spent 20 years at Chelsea as academy manager bringing in players like Reece James and Levi Colwill. While we get stuck with Winstanley & co. Yippee.
  11. I agree with others that there really isn't a realistic 'WC' target for the striking position out there atm. If we're still experimenting with forwards, I'd like to see what a returning Jackson (yes, that flopping card-magnet Jackson), could do linking up with Joao Pedro in attack, if he doesn’t seek a permanent move. Unlikely that it will happen, with Delap having been here only 1 season. Club is likely to give him more time to settle.
  12. Jury is still out on Rosenior too, IMO, so you can add that to the list. I'll give him full credit for the performances in the opening fixtures and getting Joao Pedro back on song, but the last two games are making me skeptical. You can't be dropping points against the likes of Leeds or Burnley at home., even if the players are largely at fault for most of it. This kind of shit happened under Maresca too, albeit with more pedestrian football being played.
  13. Santos also conceded the corner that led to the goal. Still, that was poor organization all around. Can only help but wonder if James would've done a better job organizing the defenders had he stayed on. Odd choice to sub him instead of Enzo for the final few minutes., especially when we had a lead to defend.
  14. What are the odds that Tosin being the first CB to come on today means that he'll start against Arsenal?
  15. What's laughable is that we had 4 CBs on for the last two minutes of the game, and Burnley had two free headers, equalizing from one and nearly winning from the 2nd.
  16. Should have probably kept James on too. Defense lacking any form of organization.
  17. Lot of weak characters in this squad. And Fofana is one of worst. Okay defender on his day, but terrible player to have in the squad.
  18. I'd have subbed off Enzo instead of James. 5 or so minutes aren't saving anyone's legs.
  19. James being subbed off? Thats bold... At least Sarr and Acheampong are on.
  20. In hindsight, maybe the red card might not be the worst thing for this team. To me it feels the situation becomes more dangerous when this team switches off, and thats what usually happens. At least now, they'll be on their toes.
  21. Hato for Gusto makes sense. Need a more natural LB for this defending.
  22. Give Burnley a taste of their own medicine. Sit deep and block all their avenues.
