I don't think last week was a blip though. We were in winning form coming into the game. Momentum killed after a silly mistake. The problem is that this squad is ripe for making mistakes. There are talented players in here, but also quite a few weak links that can drag down the team.

We should stop affording players like Disasi and Sanchez more chances. They are 25+, and should be nearly there if not already. Maybe someday we will get a French coach and Disasi will undergo a Rudiger like transformation, but why that's just wishful thinking

We nearly beat Arsenal last week. (Sounds like a Spurs DVD title) Fast forward to next week, they are cruising and we are back in the mud. Repeat of what happened against Liverpool at the Bridge. We were the better side. We draw, they go on to put together a winning run. We fall flat.

All our attackers are struggling, yet one of Arsenal’s 'bang average' strikers gets a hat-trick.

The next PL game is on a Monday. Another Monday game in just...2 months? 3 non-weekend games from the first 10, and one game moved to Christmas eve. They just love Chelsea.
-
Disasi ball watching for the first goal. The 2nd one was just comical. Ideally Sanchez would have slide tackled the attacker and got himself sent off.
-
Didn't watch the game - but why was Gusto dropped for Disasi? And both Gusto & James on the bench?
-
Another good game from him today.

Clown comment from Wright

🤦♂️ My bad.
-
What did he say??

I think the fact that we're upset at not winning this match is a good sign. Should have been 3 wins out of 3, which is top 4 form IMO, so we're not far off from where we want to be, even though the league table doesn't show it yet. The league cup match against Blackburn can't come at a better time. Time to progress in the cup competition and restart the winning streak.

The Chelsea FC hospital. You check in....but you don't check out.

Which Premier League team is under-performing most? Opta say 11th is about right for Man United, Chelsea would be flying if they could score, Newcastle should be second... and Spurs are lucky https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12644779/Premier-League-Man-United-Chelsea-Newcastle-Spurs.html

Also, coincidentally. That might explain a lot.

That sucks if true.. Like someone suggested on the other thread these players need to also practice Yoga or something different if their fitness is so poor. Even light work puts their body under strain??
-
I think he tried towards the end. That ankle injury killed his momentum.

Lol..the Spusry aspect is the only thing that makes me question them. Their football though, is getting rave reviews and they seem to have a lot of steel about them. But I guess it also depends on who you talk to. I know Arsenal fans who think they got away with one in the game against them, and clearly they got away with one against Liverpool. And they've already been knocked out of the league cup. So who knows 🤷♂️

Arsenal up. Can't say it wasn't deserved. Kovacic should've been sent off.
-
And obviously several players angrily surround the referee, and none of them get carded today. I guess it's because they weren't wearing a gold Chelsea badge.
-
Interesting decision - that Kovacic foul being branded just a yellow. How is the Gusto challenge any worse??
-
Our athletes will go to infinity and beyond.
-
From a goal threat no. 8 in Lampard , to Kovacic no.8 and Enzo no. 8. The latter two are great midfielders. But limp shooters.
-
Credit where its due. I've always ranted about his ability on the ball, but he has vastly improved in this aspect in the past few games. Plus him playing in front of Enzo is a lot better option than the other way around. If he keeps this up, I will happily eat humble pie. @NikkiCFC is right that there is a player here that can do a job for the team.

Well, we have to wait till Jan anyway. So plenty of time to assess our current strike force. Just wish Nkunku was also fit sooner rather than later (as in closet to Jan). His recovery could make a difference.
