  1. If we had at least one of them, it would have been a win. Anyway, onwards and upwards. Get them in before the next game
  2. He has the balls but no brain to go with it.
  3. Yes., not too bad at all considering our lineup. Full credit to Pochettino. This game would be a lot different if we also had the central midfield we needed. But unfortunately the administration has disregarded the importance of a winning start to the season.
  4. Jackson will get another chance in this game. I'm sure of it. But on the other hand, Get Gallagher off Bring Santos in
  5. Come oooonnn - Jackson You're getting closer
  6. Good. Now please make the right subs for midfield and push on.
  7. He wouldn't be in this position if we had a real DM to partner him. Make no mistake - the ownership took the chance of throwing away this game because they want to drag their feet getting a good CDM in.
  8. Told you. I mean it's not a difficult prediction to make Salah being in form. Gallagher being mediocre as usual
  9. It should be no surprise to anyone . I've been ranting about the possibility of him starting and Poch being left without a DM to begin with. But apparently Gallagher deserves respect according to some
  10. Salah I assume? He's been on fire for them this preseason. After that apology he gave to Pool fans end of last season, he'll be determined to make amends.
  11. Perhaps too early. But there is a past precedent for this sort of thing. Chelsea is not a financial juggernaut like United to be able to afford spending time outside the limelight too long and have no effects. Abramovich realized this and that's why he was relentless in making sure the club stayed competitive if nothing else. Regarding the reset - that excuse can be afforded to the club, not the new owners who practically started with the same squad, manager and administration that Abramovich had. No one forced them to change things so quickly. And yet, here we are. Anyway that's an old topic that's well in the past. I'm just looking to see what they do next after what they learned last seaon, and it still seems they have much more to learn.
  12. Would defo love to move on, but if feels like the club is headed for another slow motion car crash this season, which is annoying given how last season went. Don't know how quickly the club will re-enter the market to sign an alternate DM, but until then all our hopes are pinned on the young central midfielders we currently have. Just hope it's not too much pressure on them.
  13. One more season out of top4 (or top 5 with new CL regulations ), and we'll be staying there for at least a few seasons more.
  14. I never thought much about this article back then., but it does give some food for thought now as we approach the end of the window. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12004669/amp/MATT-BARLOW-Todd-Boehly-blew-hired-duo-whod-never-sporting-director-before.html
  15. Looks like we won't have a new DM in time. Strike two. My only plea for the club is that they don't start with Enzo and Gallagher in the double pivot. Disaster in the making.
  16. But would the players agree? All 3 are in CL clubs., and are at or near their primes.
  17. I'm sorry, but that comes across as a strawman argument. No one wanted Caicedo because he cost 100m, they wanted him because he is highly rated. Lukaku on the other hand already divided opinion before his arrival. Myself and several others on this forum expressed concerns about his arrival. EDIT: I see you mean Enzo, but my argument about Caicedo stands
  18. There's a difference between recognizing mistakes and actually learning from them Based on what happened last season, I've come to the conclusion that this administration is very poor at the latter. I don't want to repeat myself by typing all over, so I leave my quote up there. If the Caicedo transfer to Liverpool is truly done and dusted, we are well on our way to having another mediocre season. Not as bad as the last one, because we at least have a decent manager at the helm., but won't be much to shout about
  19. Come on, Jackson. Main reason why I have any kind of hope for this match
