  1. I'm talking about strikers that are currently in form.. I'm not saying he's going to win the golden boot, but he has already scored once, and has already contributed more than once towards our miserable goal tally so far...It need not be Anelka, it could be any striker up front as long as the performances are good.
  2. At least we have a "chance" of winning it... Check this out
  3. As long as he can score or provide for the team,I don't see why he shouldn't.
  4. Why does everyone make a Romeu a shoo-in for the first eleven? I know new signings are brought in to reinforce the squad, but to already make them a starting member when there's no evidence of them being good enough is ridiculous...
  5. Potential yes.. But I don't want this to sound like the media crooning over the England national team every time a major tournament comes this way.... I'm keeping up my hopes up for this combo, but it'll take more than a couple of games with consistent performances before I start calling this a dream team.
  6. Good to see Lamps at least keeping his chin up: Source Quote: ""I've heard what's been said but I'm at the age now when it is much easier to take. "When I was 25-26 I had a World Cup that didn't go well. I wasn't told I was old then — I was just told I was c**p!"
  7. I thought I was the only one who noticed that...The moment he left, they had all kinds of chances to equalize. Till then, I thought England started the 2nd half brightly, with Lampard spraying more quick forward passes. Whether that was short-lived only time will tell... But I have a feeling that English fans in general, and a lot of the Chelsea fans themselves have run out of patience for Frank....Glad to see that he's fighting for an international spot (of course, there's the upcoming Euro) instead of bowing out easily
  8. I wouldn't trust any of the stats from Goal.com as far as I could toss'em into a bin....
  9. He's not the solution, but he's probably the best answer at the moment...
  10. Not too serious thankfully. Official Website
  11. Decent headers, knows how to find the back of the net, good link-up play.....already has a few goals and assists in the few games played so far.. Doesn't have much pace and trickery as Sturridge though
  12. No...because Lukaku has only just arrived on the scene
  13. Supposedly the new 'John Terry'....well then I guess we have the new "Didier Drogba"... Since the United coach was talking about our signings....I was just comparing theirs with ours... (I don't think many people see the point my original post was making)
  14. Please... He's more of a replacement than an addition to the squad...and right now, not a very good one
  15. Good Post... But I'm pretty sure that when the coach was saying Chelsea is being too old he was referring to Lampard and Drogba...He's basically underestimating the rest of the squad. If he says Mata is our only major reinforcement, then who did United sign apart from Ashley Young?
  16. He's legend in a different sense... He certainly wasn't the one running across the pitch scoring those goals you mentioned
  17. Why Gourlay signed Raul Meireles "Because he's the hero that Chelsea deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll sign him...because he can take it...because he's not a playmaker...he's a stealthy goal-scorer, a watchful defender...the new Blue Knight "
  18. Why don't you come to these conclusions after these guys have played at least 90 mins for OUR club and manager? As for the Spurs thing, I agree...annoying bit of business...its their player of course, but the thought that they gave in to Man Utd (in the past) and not us makes it more bitter...
  19. Not exactly a creator...but he sure knows how to put the ball inside the net
