  1. We do have one of the biggest cheats in the game today with Drogba on our team. That being said I'd love for him to come to us, his speed and ball control would tear the premiership apart.
  2. It's not weird it's just a sign of respect for those that died.
  3. I once skipped through one of the city-center's in Munich locked arms with a few friends of mine singing "Viva Colonia" (a german folk song) at 3 in the morning. Other than that just the random stupid stuff people do when drunk. Good lord Stu...you're fucking crazy.
  4. I went on one ages ago (five years maybe?) but I really did enjoy it. I might have to go on another one if I have some spare time when I'm in London.
  5. Any major trophy (EPL, CL, or FA Cup) would be a success in my eyes. I won't get too excited about our early form as we all know what happened last year. However, if we could pull a 2005-2006 and win 9 or 10 in a row to start I'd be a little more ready to believe this could be a good year.
  6. Always enjoy reading these. Top class man.
  7. Security'll be much tighter with the FA having just seen what happened at Upton Park. Should be a cracking atmosphere though...wish I could go.
  8. I don't know if it's possible with your work schedule but try to get some CL tickets. Both home and away if you can. Nothing better than going on a European away. Even if you can't make it to the continent on a weeknight we're bound to play the scousers at some point.
  9. I try to be sympathetic to my surroundings. If an elderly couple or a family are sitting in the seats behind me I won't stand that much. But if it's some middle aged person sitting there eating their food and casually watching the match I'll stand and sing all I want. Shed End is definitely the place to be. The only thing that resembles an atmosphere at the Bridge. That is if you don't count THOSE flags as atmosphere.
  10. Like it's going to do any good. I was thrown out a few times a couple of years ago. It wasn't that bad it was later in the game and nothing happened after I left. I even went back midweek and sat in the same stand.
  11. We should keep him. He'd be perfect to come on around the 65 minute mark and just use his pace to run straight at already tired defenders.
  12. I was just thinking what if JT, Didi, and Ballack were all coming back from injury and playing the reserves and this happened. The UAB team would be no more :0
  13. I'm so excited to be able to go to Chelsea matches again after the new year. I've been studying in America and will study till December. Anytime I get a free weekend though it's straight over to London for a match. It's so great to see a new Chelsea supporter that actually goes to the matches when they can instead of living close but still not going. Make sure you go to some CL games. In my opinion they are the best. Especially European aways if you can afford to go.
  14. Why did we buy Zhirkov and extend Malouda's contract if Lamps is going to play on the left?
  15. They're all out of date by the time you get them. I would only buy it one if theres an article about a player/team you like.
  16. We haven't won our first three matches since 2005-2006 and we all know Fulham will be up for this. I think it'll be a hard fought 1 goal win. Probably go behind and come back and win 2-1.
  17. Exactly what I feel. Never been one for crying.
  18. This might be stretching it a little but...the last time Chelsea played this expansive and dynamic football was in 2005-2006. If we win against Fulham on the weekend the last time we won our first three games was 2005-2006. the last time we won the EPL...2005-2006. A HUGE stretch but whatever.
  19. It's refreshing to see Chelsea playing a dynamic, expansive, and all out attacking game these days. Not since 2005/2006 we've played this way. And for fucks sake some fans on here are fucking bipolar. If we're down Ancellotti is going to be fired by game 5 if we win he's a hero. There's a reason it's a 90 minute game and to be honest I'd rather see this fight from the boys and the ability to come back rather than sit on 1-0 leads for 70 minutes. If your team are down get behind them and support them don't fucking rag on them.
  20. The best thing you can do is just watch a lot of matches. You'll understand the basics fast enough. As time goes on though you'll start to learn more specific details about the game.
  21. I'm going to get all deep and emotional here for a minute so feel free to skip over this post. But for me it definately has to be the memories. Going with my father to matches in 2000. Can remember one away match we went too (not sure about the team it was awhile ago) after the game Franco came over and shook our hands and thanked us. One of the coolest moments of my then 12-13 year old life. edit: Another great memory was the 1999-2000 season we were in the Champions League. Especially THAT game against Barcelona.
  22. Michael Ballack learned it as a child growing up in East Germany but I have no idea if he still speaks it or what not.
  23. Bremen are interested in Pizarro I believe. And Yuri wants Schevchenko around so...
  24. I've said before that I would love to have Aguero in the team...but I won't hold my breath.
