  1. Oh, please. He doesn't not get paid that much, he never has and never will.
  2. You superstitious side is showing. Have you slaughtered your annual billy goat?
  3. Arguments aren't very convincing when you are just stating your opinion on something as intangible as 'quality'. Who defines quality? You? What is quality? Besides you are comparing a player trying to break through to players already established as starters. Shouldn't Bamford be juxtaposed to players in a similar position to him?
  4. Just going to say this: Crystal Palace have more important things to worry about than Bamford's development or playing time.
  5. Why? Jose Mourinho isn't here anymore. I think that was Mendes' only ties to the club.
  6. Have a word with yourself mate. That is a bit embarrassing.
  7. Everyone has a talent. Mine is making people look like twats on anonymous bulletin boards. Monetize that.
  8. I'm sceptical but cautiously optimistic. He couldn't be any worse. No way. He has to be better than Cuadrado.
  9. The club doesn't splurge any more, they are in the business of making money now, not winning. Isn't it obvious? Farming young talent to sell, a new stadium, relative penny pinching with transfers. The days you long for are over and you'd best get used to it. This is a business of money, not spending astronomical amounts on transfers and buying another title. How do you know Pato is a 'has-been'?
  10. Haha, fair enough. It just looked like you were calling a member 'fucking delusional' out of the blue is all.
  11. Jesus mate, no need to be so condescending to the new guy, don't scare the newbies off. Your coming off a lot like the most recent banee, I hate to say it in all honesty.
  12. It is the same, the club are choosing not to use for the sake of posterity. There is a looming new stadium coming up and that is quite an extensive task, the club is being safe with all its finances, just like Arsenal when they built their new stadium. Besides, haven't you seen how the club is operating recently? Hoarding players, loaning them and then selling for a profit. The club is trying to become self-sufficient without the sugar daddy money, but it is there is necessary.
  13. Still using ellipses... Well you can't argue that some of the players listed would have to be sold before Oscar.
  14. Empty stadium at the San Paolo. Still louder than most of the games in England.
  15. Man Utd much like Chelsea has been a joke.
  16. Alex Pato choosing a club is a little like that children's game 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. Pato, Pato, Pato, Pato, Pato, GANSO!
  17. I know, I know, I know, you are right but we weren't talking about publicity.
  18. I was in transit. Flying from Manila to Brisbane via Hong Kong and then again Brisbane to LA via HK. I enjoyed the weather to an extent, it isn't that far from what I'm used to, however the endless amounts of people was interesting. It felt like we were always in a town even when we were driving out of Manila into the provinces. There was only a very short amount of driving that I truly felt out of a town, but I could still people everywhere, working on their rice paddies. I remember driving from a town to another town and it truly felt like we never even left the first town, we just went through a giant arch that said the town name and that was it.
  19. Merchandising? How? Do they sell fifteen billion t-shirts? I really struggle to see in any way merchandising covers a players salary and transfer costs. A club probably only makes like $10 per shirt sold with most of the money going to the vendor and the kit manufacturer. Hell, a club probably makes no money from shirts sold because they get a lump sum every year from the manufacturer or at the start of the contract.
  20. I hate the phrase 'back to goal'. I know what it means and all but it just sounds to silly. I do suppose it is easier to say than 'pirouetting upon first touch of the ball to be directed towards the opposite goal net'.
  21. Have you been to China? I've spent far too much time in the Hong Kong airport for my tastes. I hate the damned security check they set up in the actually boarding tunnel. They confiscated two bottles of alcohol that was bought duty free in Manila. I felt like I'd be fleeced, given that I was told it was okay in Manila.
  22. I'd rather a permanent manager to come in before splashing the cash out on players.
