Scott Parker is an overrated fool. Can't believe people want him... again.

Nonsense. Sense.

Perhaps the club just didn't see the value in the site. Every party placing a bid is going to have an upper limit to what they think the site is worth. Maybe this other company made their bid and Roman didn't think it was worth pumping more money in to. I'm assuming the clubs train of thought was that their bid would be accepted based on their proposed plans for the site rather than the sum of money offered. Great avatar. Cool cool cool.

As much as I love the new away kit, this would have been perfect. Excuse the quick mock up, but you get the idea. Funny, I love that black kit and really like the new training stuff. Very understated, which is to my taste. I loved last years too, but the new stuff is great.
-
I think the new away looks top. Two good kits so far. Let's hope that the black effort is a fake and go three for three.

Believe... Madness

I know Nike have pulled off some howlers this season, but I'd actually love us to go with Nike. Nearly all their national kits have been great looking this year and the Netherlands away kit is one of the most comfortable shirts I've ever owned, feels better than our Adidas efforts. Looks great too. That looks top.

Pep will never come to Chelsea so no need to concern ourselves with him.

City's stars are purely decorative and part of their regular crest.

Drug dealer father, what can he do about that? Thieving mother, what can he do about that? Wayne Bridge incident, I'm fairly certain nothing was ever actually proven. Alleged racist remark, yet plays and socialises with many black team mates and friends, who I'm guessing, based on the hugging and such post match don't consider the man to be a racist. Innocent until proven guilty in any case. Capello quiting because he couldn't play JT is Capello's doing and nothing to to with JT, seemed like an excuse to leave to be honest. JT might well be a scum bag, but why would you worry about what other fans think? Any number of those hypocrites will slander JT for all his misgivings but not think twice to back all the scum bags in their own teams. They do it to make noise, not because they actually care about what he does. As for his ability, maybe he's not as good as he used to be, but he's still solid 90% of the time. Carragher is a bad comparison as he's 3 years JT's senior, and in my opinion, not as good to begin with. I think he should be rotated but he's got a few years in him yet. Edit: Your examples of him being bad include games spread over many years, which in the grand scheme of things are insignificant when compared to the amount of solid games he's had. Also, most of them are from the one Liverpool game, every player has bad days, it happens. And Andy Carroll out classed him... once. So what? Carroll is actually decent player contrary to popular and bias belief. No player can be solid 100% of the time.

The only people it made a difference to were the fickle muppets. Nothing actually changed with DLs mistakes, it's just a bunch of internet loose cannons had something new to moan about. Anybody with half a brain knows better than to pass judgement over one mistake. Similarly there will be people who moan about Cahill should he make any errors, but these people shouldn't be listened to as they change their minds as often as the weather.

I jumped the gun much as you did. I made this post only to see you had recanted a page or so later.

What in the world is this nonsense? I'm going to assume the implication here is that Torres said "I'll leave the club if Drogba doesn't". If so, please point me in the direction of this quote. Since I'm fairly certain it doesn't exist, I'd very much like to know how you extrapolated your comment from even the worst Torres quotes (the one's that had conveniently left out all the positives) before it was discovered that he is in fact not the bogey man he had been made out to be. Some people...

Oh yes we were. How sweet it is.

He got it done in JJB. Think they charge £10

So let me get this straight... All Di Matteo did was asses the situation, and handle it appropriately. Isn't that what a manager is supposed to do?

Only a Bolton player.

Some absolute man babies on this forum. The full interview has since been posted and it's clear for all to see that the original news that was spread left out key bits of information, like him being more than happy to contribute and thanking the fans for all their support because "if it wasn't for the fans I'd of given up". So the guy wants to discuss his role at Chelsea, so what? You think that because he's paid big money he should just sit there and shut up? Like most players he wants to play. So it's best for every one if he knows what's expected of him and we're all on the same page. If he doesn't feel happy then he should go, if he talks it over and is fine then we're golden. He was asked questions and he answered honestly. This whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion.

We had no chance against Napoli, we beat them. We had no chance against Benfica, we beat them. We had no chance against "the best team in the world", Barcelona, we beat them. Then, even after that run, people still give us no hope against Bayern... we beat them. Chelsea's story of how we came to win the UCL is a great one. An under performing team full of ageing players who were facing their last chance of every wining it. And what did they do? They beat the best teams in Europe and took home the prize. I use another forum where there are supporters of clubs from around the globe. Last night there were so many people complaining about "anti-football" and who really "deserved" to win. Talking about how Barcelona deserved to be in this final. The rules of football are simple, score more than your opponent. That's what we did, and that's why we deserve it. Football and it's fans are starting to get on my nerves a bit lately. It seems Barcelona have set the standard for football, which is fine, but now all of a sudden everybody seems to think that's the only way to play. It seems many folks feel hard done by if they are not entertained, well here's the skinny... Football clubs do not win games or make money by entertaining. They do that by competing and winning. The sport is made up of two critical aspects, attack and defence, and it's the latter that people all too often seem to forget about or undervalue. As Chelsea fans, would we love to watch Chelsea go out every game and play tika-taka football? Of course, but we don't have the personnel to do it. So what we do instead is go out and play to our strengths. That is to defend to the death and attack on the counter. Is it pretty? To most no, I however think so. A good defensive display is as good to watch as a good attack. To go out and try and play the Barcelona way would be as good to go out and lay down, because it just wouldn't work. My biggest annoyance about the complainers is they're never fans of the team in question, in this situation Chelsea. It's all well and good fans of MUFC, Liverpool, Spurs, whoever etc, complaining about Chelsea not coming out to entertain or not trying to play the right way. But you can bet your life if it was their team in our shoes they wouldn't want their players out experimenting with a footballing style they simply can't match/play purely to entertain the naturals at the cost of a win. Football is about tactics and winning the game and that is what we done. I could go on forever because they subject really does bug me, but I think you get the picture. Edit: just to draw a parallel using Barcelona and Chelsea as an example. It would be like putting a technically superior welter weight boxer up against and heavy weight brute. He may be able to move faster, duck, weave and deliver a barrage of blows. But it's all fruitless in the end if he can't deliver the knock out blow. All the fancy passing and ability in the world is worthless if you can't get through the brick wall of a defence that's between you and the net.

You'd think people would know by now that Torres never takes pens. Why is that being discussed?
