He is very exciting as far as prospects go but i wouldnt be promoting him to the first team just yet. Get him in the team for the Carling Cup and give him some experience

He will be off to the scum and they will have a quality side next year as well as a good pre season together... I am a bit concerned by this if it happens

I sort of know what your getting at here but it still isnt down to Citeh to decide the price of a player! Citeh are victims of their own wealth, like us. They may well have spent that money on those players because they wanted english players with PL experience( Im not sure thats the reason they did tho) but they were held to ransom by Villa and Everton because they knew of the interest from a bankrolled club! If they wanted those players which they obviously did then thats the price that had to be paid but you are right... It is a BIG rip off at times, there is little value for money now in the transfer market. The starting rate now seems to be a standard 30 mill

It got them into the CL for the first time and won them an FA Cup. Think they are happy enough

I never said 30 goals was worth 50 mill, i said that your hasty assumption that we got mugged and that Nando is a dud could look pretty stupid if he bangs in 30 next season. He wasnt brought in to win us the champions league, he was brought in to help turn an ever worsening season before we capitulated completely but its good of you to allow him another season at least. You have absolutely no idea that Falcao or Cavani could have done any better. Look when we brought Kezman in for a reasonable amount! you didnt actually point that out in that post tho.Dont think we ever announced that we spent 50 mill on Torres because of his PL experience did we? We spent 50 mill because he is a top class striker being touted not even 1 year ago as one of the best in the world and because that was the amount the dippers wanted for him! Plus you have already clearly wrote Torres off after his long spell here, I prefer to wait till he has had a decent chance before using him as the yard stick to which all future possible failures will be judged

I said this before and then got sucked in again but im not coming back on this thread unless its to welcome him to the club! The fella and his club are a mind fuck of female proportions (sorry ladies) In fact i hope its not to welcome him in because id rather see Sanchez or Aguero now tbh

He didnt make that as an excuse, in fact it was only one point of six but it is relative! EPL experience is always a good thing to have when signing a player. I dont think we have ever shirked from signing a player from outside the EPL anyway

I heard to my delight the other day that the mod father Paul Weller may be a Chels fan altho its unconfirmed it was a fella who writes about him and follows him closely who reckons he is. Apparently on stanley roads album cover, which features a pic of geordie best, Weller said he would prefer a pic of Charlie Cooke but was told Bestie would be more globally recognizable
