  1. Fuck me we lost rajkovic? For sure....? That's a bummer.
  2. ^id shit myself if I had to defend them in corners
  3. Ramires would compliment mikel n modric perfectly.
  4. ^im tired of hearing th words "creative" and "playmaker" over the past 8 months lol ๎‡ but...Im not in denial we desperately need someone with those qualities ha
  5. Will he be be getting time in the reserves or will he be put on the bench immediately? I'm just trying to figure out if he's going to get first team action or beef up the reserve squad.
  6. Seems like everything he does well, van aanholt does well too, plus pva wont cost 20m ๎” he may not be proven, as mature or as consistent yet, but he could develop that I mean HE'S ONLY 21 in like 2 weeks lol
  7. What's the likelihood (realistically) that were done this transfer window, in your opinions?
  8. On another note, as much as this team is LOADED with central players already lol we signed a keeper, a center back, a center mid, and a striker this window haha I guess every team needs a strong spine ๎—
  9. Have I missed something...Has avb stated the formation he's going to play Or is it pretty much speculation at this point? some people seem adamant about knowing what he's going to use.
  10. What if: bertrand became the left back successor to cole, and pva played in front of him. Pva has a wicked shot, could see him as that utility left sided player zhirkov was mean to be: stout in defense, with enough skill and technique to play Maloudas winger/second striker role (or whatever u want to call it), and he can tuck inside and go box to box in the left side of a three man midfield. I dunno, just food for thought. Seems like they have too much talent to waste.
  11. The boy (at times) has a golden first touch and is so damn quick, I don't know if he's faster than anelka over distance or whatnot but his feet are lightnight fast. Combine it with Ability (...currently improving) to read the game faster and you've got quite a package on your hands.
  12. Dudes a beast. Think he needs to hit the gym more and do some squats or something, cuz those TREE TRUNKS of legs aren't big enough lol. ๎…Œ๎…Œ๎…Œ
  13. @ulsterchelsea dude, that should be the title of a thread Haha
  14. @kostas You're right, it's less a matter of Malouda lacking the ability to be a pure winger than it is he most likely received orders to allow Cole to overlap and get crosses in last season. That being said, Cole filled that role more often than not, but they do have a point: in the mold of Robben, Nani, and perhaps Sanchez, Malouda doesn't provide immediate width in buildups, he simply doesn't sit on the touchline like he used to, and he certainly doesn't consistently like running at defenders and taking them on. I think thats what their getting at.
  15. I know preseason doesn't count for much, but i think Sturridge and kalou/anelka should play wide of the striker (over Malouda). Just a thought. @henrique im curios, why ferreira at RB over Iva? And I can't believe you put mikel in your first XI haha (not that i dont disagree, but that's gotta be a first for you....๎
  16. Table a take it or leave it offer of ยฃ18m. If they take it, good. If not, oh well.
  17. It hasn't REALLY come to this, has it??? ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ๎„œ
  18. t seems all our potential signings are procured on the basis that we MUST play a 4-3-3. While I am a proponent of such a formation, and it is conducive to attacking football, I think our activity in the market this summer should be broadened to account for other potential formations. I mean, watching the preseason what tends to catch my eye is that we successfully move into the final third and bam, zero (or very little) movement off the ball. And a LOT of passes across the 18 lol. it seems the players get jammed up in the corners and keep giving the ball to each other cuz no one can beat a defender right? And then they just cross it for the sake of moving the ball. How about a 4-2-3-1: don't jump ship just yet, it can make sense. *i broke up my rant to give your eyes a break lol So to continue: We have hard nosed holding mid in Mikel who, arguably, is very good at deep passes and is a no nonsense tackler, and maybe the perfect foil for his mistake-prone play in Josh (who can also get plenty of minutes on the pitch), there's also Ramires who can (tho he's probably better going forward) play there, and David Luiz, who is, well...he's David friggin Luiz, (that would be a bad-ass pair of midfielders ๎„) And to conlude, in the event our "creative" signing doesn't happen ๎๎„ˆ, there may be light at the end of the tunnel. ...as for the 3 in front of the two holding midfielders, they are interchangeable with (nearly) limitless combinations from the 5-6 players we've got, cuz god knows malouda kalou zhirkov and anelka arent pure wingers and lampards and benayouns legs just don't carry them swiftly from box to box like they once did lol but it's ok, cuz they've got cover behind them in the two holding mids. The 3 can switch, make runs, and do what attacking footballers do WITHOUT getting 5 players clogged up on the touchline. I wrote far too much ๎† you get the idea, Torres Drogba Sturridge play the target and the width is provided from Cole and Iva when needed. Rant over. End.
