  1. There's actually not much wrong with that line-up, would not mind something like that in games against teams like Reading etc.
  2. Wouldn't the 15+ assists he had last season totally go against this point? remember the game against Benfica away?Torres brilliantly set up Kalou. Or the cross to Mata against Man utd. He set up Ivanovic twice from corners against Villa. There are many others, but whatever lol.
  3. Haha more like you having different standards when it comes to Torres and other players. When i was watching the game i honestly didn't even notice Cahill was there, this is the first time i've seen the highlight of that chance, and perhaps Torres could have passed. But for the Ramires chance it was obvious Torres was in a better position, not just even a better position, wide open with no one close to him.
  4. He never does that, he just posts the latest rumours and at least saves me some time of having to look for them
  5. I know you don't want a 30-40m striker, but what about a cheaper option? like Hernandez
  6. Did you see what i wrote after? "He's not usually like that, so he deserves to be cut some slack." Anyway there's really no excuse for not passing to an open teammate, except if you score then no-one gives a shit
  7. all in due time. I'm still confident we will see a striker signing before the window closes, surely.
  8. Very, very direct. He will need to improve his final pass, but already he will cause a lot of problems for opposition defenders. And when you also have Hazard on the same team..
  9. It's not that bad, but moments like that change games. For example Ramires* did not pass to Torres for a tap in and we had to wait till the 81st minute to put away Reading. Sturridge doesn't pass to a wide open Torres early in the game against Arsenal, we end up losing 5-3. It doesn't happen a lot, but you would really hope players think more about the team than they do personal glory. I do agree with the bolded part though, we will all see how he does when he eventually gets his chance. *He's not usually like that, so he deserves to be cut some slack.
  10. Should have done better during this play, did brilliantly to create the opportunity for himself.
  11. Beautiful one touch passing, more of that please
  12. It's not like Sturridge will tear defences apart himself, but at least he will have a good reason to not pass to a wide open teammate and take shots from impossible angles...
  13. The only thing they can complain about is the offside goal (that fan talking about penalty and fluke goal is just being an idiot) and it's fair enough really, we would have done the same if it was the other way around. But it's not our fault, it's the linesman that let it stand, so blame him
  14. Yeah Anelka was a good finisher, was always calm and composed. Actually given Anelka's past record you would expect him to be the one crying all over the place to play as main striker. I know Sturridge wants to play as main striker, but realistically he will get much less playing time there than he would on the right. And if we get another striker it will only make it more difficult for him to play there.
  15. Ramires should start because Ivanovic's defending in the last couple games has not been good, and we will need him to track back and help against Santon and Gutierrez. The last game we lost at home to Newcastle i remember them having a lot of joy down the flanks, and we need to avoid a repeat of that. Hazard should play on the left, he works hard even without the ball and Mata or Oscar in the middle behind Torres.
  16. Lol, he's going to see El Clasico.
  17. Anelka is a natural striker, but could do a job on the right and did so very well for us.
  18. Sigh, obvious exaggeration. Here is the goal http://www.golofans.com/chelsea-vs-sunderland-1-0-lampard-goal/5642/ The atmosphere did not change, some people were obviously gutted for Torres because it was a superb strike, but it's a Chelsea goal none the less and many cheered.
  19. It's only normal to complain when decisions don't go your way, even Man utd fans complain about refs
  20. I hope after the window is closed (assuming we sign a couple more players) and everyone is fit, we will see less and less of Ramires on the wings.
  21. He wasn't that bad, he had some good moments and some not so good ones. But he was lively and surely looked more interested than against Wigan. Also, i don't think the formation is too much of a problem, but we should limit the amount of times we hoof the ball up to him. He wins like 2 out of 10 of those, and that just resorts to loss of possession.
