I'll have little problems with Matic missing if Mikel was available. Ramires-Fabregas is just too attacking a pivot, reminds me of when we played Ramires-Lamps and the latter was chasing the goal record. Lampard would always fly into the box, leaving reckless Ramires alone in midfield.

He was playing well before getting injured also. I really like how he's so calm on the ball in tight spaces, even our freaking no. 10 can't do some of the things Luis can.

Mourinho and his crazy 3 defence almost lost the game. I think we would have been better off finishing the game as normal, than just throwing on Drogba and using 2 strikers, while we're down to 10.

Our attack was sloppy indeed, but we weren't on the backfoot or anything. 67% possession and clearly in control till minute 69. Which was at worst, a red card for both players.

The game could have been over with a simple penalty. Performances really don't matter at this stage, this was 3 points in the bag if the referee did his job.

I think he's very one dimensional and easy to defend at RW. The type of role he has at Fiorentina where he can pop up anywhere to influence play, will obviously get the best out of him.

Play a real RB in big games, play super Ivan at RW.

I also think it's a problem with the selection, but he picks these same players every time.

It's always the same discussion from the same people here, after every big game. Personally i don't have a 'big' problem with defensive football, this is Mourinho - surely we knew what to expect. And tbf to him, he has delivered some good football in the lesser games at the expense of solidity at the back. We should be able to create better even while playing defensive though, but we have some average players who Mourinho feels loyal to for whatever reason.

There's no balance in this team. We have our regular lineup which is very attacking with Fabregas at DM and Ivanovic never at the back. Or the big game lineup, which is very slow and boring.
