Tbf Danny was injured or just not fully fit to play big minutes in the past games. But for now there's no excuses. RDM has to test Sturridge as our main striker to see what he can do there. With his skills and - more important - his MOVEMENT he should be the perfect striker for our new playing style. Really looking forward to see Sturridge leading our attack!

Heynckes team is still looking for the right system and as soon as Müller picks up his normal form again, Kroos will be out. In the 3 positions behind the striker Ribery, Müller and Robben will be the starters when they are fully fit and in form. Where does that leave Kroos? Right, on the bench. Even last year under Heynckes Kroos was poor, probably one of the most disappointing players in the German league. His problem is that he isn't even suited to playing as a CAM because he's too slow for Bayern's system. Schweinsteiger, Martinez and Gustavo are all above him in the pecking order and if Shaqiri continues to play well, Heynckes will have to change his tactics and Kroos won't be anywhere near a starter spot.

Ever since re-joining Bayern after his loan at Leverkusen he couldn't establish himself as a starter, even when Schweinsteiger was poor or/and injured last season, Kroos couldn't show consistent performances, let alone making the position his own.

I think they could play very well together in a 4-3-3 midfield if they are given enough time to develop chemistry. Josh as the initiating force, starting our attacks and being the little general, whereas KDB could serve as our midfield engine, making runs into the box, shooting from distance, playing the long range passes and being the goal threat Lampard used to be in his prime.
