2004, a little 9-year-old boy is sitting in front of his family's TV watching Chelsea vs Monaco and wondering who that player with his favourite number 8 is. Almost 10 years later, that same boy is crying for joy that his hero will remain one more season at his club. I love you Lamps and I'm deeply sorry that I made those comments last year. You're truly the greatest player this club has ever seen. LONG LIVE SUPER FRANKIE

Credit where credit is due. Really good off-ball movement putting the defenders under pressure and closing down to them, scored a nice goal (the way he got past Luisao was something I didn't expect from him, tbh) and HE DIDN'T DRIFT TO THE FLANKS (which is one of those things that have pissed me of most about him ever since he joined us, among a lot of other stuff obviously) and kept his position up front.
IMO the second yellow was undeserved (he didn't even touch his opponent and if you're going to punish the possibility of fouling a player in a tackle then you have to hand out at least 10 more red cards per game) and hypocritical considering Benteke should have seen a straight red only a few minutes before.
A list of all the goals Chelsea FC's Greatest Ever Player (Yes, I'm capitalizing) scored for this club (I didn't make it though, blame Tumblr if there's something wrong)
"This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% REASON TO REMEMBER THE NAME!" I couldn't have put it better myself.
