  1. the only irrelevant results to his job were malmo
  2. lol at the fact Sarri and Pep are still being compared. Sheer madness. I get it in a sense, but the "look at pep's first season, and what followed" is complete lunacy re. Sarri
  3. Sarriball is a right cringey thing. I hated it when we were linked with him, and hate it now. Fowler is correct, its nothing special or unusual. No other club in the top 6 right now would have given Sarri a second thought as potential manager. And then we had the fans on social media claiming to know everything about him and making him out to be a genius, so the appointment was quite exciting at first. Those same fans never heard of him a few months before. But nobody can deny, it isnt working right now. He's one of the worst managers in recent times. Today is a great opportunity to show us he can change, be flexible, make tweaks. Do i think he will? Not sure, probably not. Do i think i could pick the starting 11? most likely Dreading this, but think we might pull it off
  4. big day today, will he or wont he change system or personnel?
  5. fair points. Although fowler is a right bitter bastard and if it was Klopp, he'd be drooling over it
  6. dreading it, Sometimes im quietly confident we might do it, then i remember the 6-0 and think "nothing different will be done, re. tactics, shape, etc so meh"
  7. If and when Sarri goes, Marina needs to be looked at. She needs to leave aswell.
  8. i think if we have gone to the CAS with what we believe to be evidence proving we did no wrong, itll get overturned/reduced. you dont go to the CAS if you dont believe you have the necessary proof
  9. I think he will get the Spurs game regardless of tomorrow come to think of it Although many papers reckon tomorrow could be his last
  10. 3 more days and we find out if anything has sunk in with Sarri
  11. Win Sunday and Wednesday and he will probably be ok. Weird as it sounds i dont think tonight will have aided his cause at all. I really want to think we will win Sunday
  12. It'll be the same 11 most probably because let's face it, he isnt a big fan of CHO, it seems 1 - tonights lineup gave a massive clue. the only maybe is Kepa. I think left back possibly, too 2 - He has already said he wont change his style or personnel, its mentality 3 - Tonight was a home Europa League game against a absolutely woeful team, who are still in pre season. Our entire academy would have beaten them.
  13. because itll be the usual 11. Same as played v city last time
  14. Sarri and Pep comparison is just wrong
  15. and its not working with what he has at his disposal, so he now needs to adjust to make it work.
  16. Zappacosta for Azpilicueta was arguably the worst sub you'll see this season. Inexcusable. Infact, it was baffling. We will win tonight quite comfortably youd imagine, but it's Malmo. Even Blackpool would give them a game. (mind you, we'd have lost last week if it were a decent outfit) I have never approached a final with such dread. I'd love to see this sarriball in action, at its best. But i also want the club to appoint a manager with some nous and understanding how to change a football match and improve your chances of winning
  17. the subs are inexcusable. Who else do we have to bring on? There is options, he just needs to be flexible. Its really not rocket science, he is too stubborn Any other manager, would come in and make use of the squad and vary the subs. Because they adjust. Any top top manager adjusts, and adapts. It's nothing admirable on Sarri's part, its foolishness
  18. I was all for backing Sarri at one point, i just wanted to see how Hazard, Jorginho etc would suit 'sarriball' in the EPL. But lately he just seems bewildered, as if the job is too big for him. He cant fathom how his football wont work yet, and that it should be working no matter what, hence the constant blame of players; and lack of personnel change. when a manager absolutely refuses to budge on his tactics, but just blames mentality, it makes you wonder. Yes i also think its true that players are sick of it I know Napoli played nice football, albeit not for the entire season, but I am curious as to why on earth we hired him? Marina was a big advocate of his. But supposedly the rest of the board were against it. He is 60, and has won absolutely zilch. Yes his system can be nice when played properly, but if i owned this club, I'd have laughed his CV all the way into the bin. Hand on heart, I'd have chosen Blanc out of the 2 Biggest concern for Sarri? The fans have turned on him. And a 5-0 thumping of Malmo will do fuck all to please them, nor will it encourage the board to keep him. Beating Malmo is hardly an achievement, is it? They havent played a proper game besides last week, since December
  19. If we lose Sunday and he is still here for Spurs. Then we can just forget any chance of him getting the boot
  20. These are little bits from an article i read on him, makes whats happening now no surprise He’s an integralist, so I doubt he’ll change something. It would require admitting that his style isn’t perfect and I don’t really see that happening either There is a complete lack of self-criticism in this. Again, he ends up talking about the mental aspects, about players not being motivated, he says that tactics aren’t the reason for losses or shortcomings Many managers have succeeded in their careers by working more on the mental than the tactical side of the game, yet he believes that tactics are his only duty. It’s a way of deflecting criticism onto the players and it’s a way of not admitting that there might be anything wrong with him. If anything doesn’t work, it’s up to the players. If they are not cold-blooded, motivated, if they don’t have the right mentality, there is nothing he can do in his mind. He hasn’t struggled much in Naples, but when he has, he has never taken the blame, except in random, superficial and very generic “it’s everybody’s fault”. I don’t remember him admitting a single mistake over three years.Yet that allowed him to pretty much claim that Napoli’s playing personnel was just not good enough. He also blamed Napoli’s president for not speaking out in complaining about referees or the calendar, in the past. It’s just something he does: he moves the subject of the discussion and will call out random people for random reasons. When he struggles, he’ll point the finger elsewhere. Basically it’s anything but his fault. A lot of people actually bought on the perception that Napoli’s players were extremely poor and everything was thanks to Sarri. Even those who accept that Ancelotti is doing well are mostly saying that it’s because Sarri made players better. It has to be pointed out that Sarri did well with Empoli and Napoli, but his past is littered with failure and firings in the Italian lower leagues. I never appreciated his complete lack of accountability, flexibility and adjustments. I liked some of his coaching aspects and I liked the fact that he wanted to play offensive and attractive football, but none of what is happening is entirely surprising to me. But so far it has gone in a predictable way. If he doesn’t change something, he won’t finish the season. I have randomly picked parts out and pased them here, but reading just those snippets, you see that the current mess is not a shock. I think somewhere in the article the author admits Sarri does not use youth, either All from a Napoli fan, or expert https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/maurizio-sarris-relationship-club-owners-15848184
  21. That presser was a bit delusional. We havent played well Sarri since City at all. It's not a change of personnel but mentality? Nice one, pass the buck to the players. It's getting silly with him now. He is getting tedious
  22. That sounds like absolute rubbish. Our press would be reporting the same if that were true. There is no way theyll allow him to continue with another defeat sunday. Its throwing the season away almost I think Corriere delo sport are pretty poor anyway Sarri on whether he spoke to Marina or Roman Abramovich: "No, not in this week." Fuck off with your lies Corriere delo Sport.
  23. Sunday or Spurs will decide his fate it looks like Malmo is irrelevant. We arent losing to them. Although last Thursday, if that was anyone decent we'd have lost by 2 or 3
