On a side note, soon as this window shuts ill be happy because two accounts i follow on twitter are fucking irritating whinging about signings and wanting us to bid for everyone
-
They would but only if it meant being desperate to rid themselves of Cavani's wages. Which i dont think they are tbh, reports are they'd rather keep him. They'll up their bid to 20m or get him for fuck all in June.
-
He will be on a plane to London to sign for spurs by Thursday afternoon.
-
could be, but i dont reckon Giroud will go to inter. Something tells me he will end up staying I mean they have agreed a contract for about 2 weeks now, Politano has left. Nothing on Giroud, and the Llorente links are still there.
-
I'm starting to believe we are waiting to see what happens with Giroud. If/when he goes i think you'll see us move. If he stays, i dont think we'll bother
-
with our club though, even with zero rumours beforehand, the possibility of a deadline day signing is always there. We have done lately. The options are thinning though, Cavani to Atletico will happen, lets be honest. Jovic - I'd be stunned if Madrid let him out on loan. Piatek to Spurs is nailed on Or, the club are waiting to see if Giroud leaves first. If he stays, we do nothing. Right now, im not sure Inter are that desperate to take him
-
That Simon Phillips tweets is from an article by Nizaar Kinsella. Nizaar Kinsella knows absolutely fuck all. One of the worst Chelsea journos out there The fucker makes articles based on what he's read on twitter
-
That Fabrizio Romano seems to be only mentioning Spurs in his tweets about Piatek. Thats why i think he ends up there.
-
i dont think there is anything in the Chelsea rumours to be honest. I think Spurs will agree something by tomorrow night myself
-
I think if Piatek goes to Spurs, our window is done. It'll be him or no-one
-
Matt Law has a piece in Telegraph about us watching Piatek, but nothing new in it. Also says we still want Cavani number 1 this week and Atletico are at their salary limit
-
That is a right shit source it looks like Anything in Italy not coming from dimarzio isnt worth looking at IMO
-
5 days left lads. Not long to wait to see who the loan striker is, or isnt. Frank very frustrated it seems, although good to see the board and him are working this window.
-
If it's a 6 month loan then that wouldnt be an issue. It's not like it's a 2 year deal totalling £50m or whatever. The total outlay for Cavani on loan would be £12m. That is loan fee and wages. When you consider that Utd were quoted £4m to loan Slimani and his wages on top, let's say that equals 8-9m all in. Cavani is a no brainer. £12m is fuck all when we are sitting on about 200 odd from the summer business outwards and various other revenues. ie. TV, commercial.
-
Big 6 days ahead. BIG 6 days. Sometimes i listen to Frank and think, he wants more than 1 body in this window. But what is clear, is the club are working on something, its mentioned at the end of that clip. Just get it right, ffs. The board simply cannot allow this window to pass us by. They just can't. I've said it for ages, Marina should not be in charge of transfers. If i was Roman i'd be after a proven DOF with a track record of getting deals done. Leonardo at PSG would be my choice. When they want someone, they get them. (provided the rumour is true) Monchi, even Peter Kenyon back
-
The board and Frank know who they want, they'll have a list of a few. Hence the quote ""I think it's about trying to get the choice right of the player that we can bring in considering what's available."
-
i suspect we might actually. I fully expected a real dejected lampard today if that was the case. It's going to be a loan though IMO. If the 30th comes with no hint of something, then yes, we arent doing anything So i wouldn't expect Dembele.
-
I got the impression there is a choice of strikers we like And its now down to deciding which of those few we want. We have been hearing the phrase short term last week or 2, Dembele doesn't come into that. I still would put my house on it being a loan. Who could be loaned? Cavani possibly although unlikely, Slimani? No. Piatek? Maybe
-
I have a horrible feeling that in todays presser Frank will confirm no new arrivals.
-
Aulas will look a very silly man if he sells him now after his statements earlier in the window. Atletico Madrid seem to be counter offering for Bruno Guimaraes according to some reports. Maybe they are focusing elsewhere for this window too?
-
not sure tbh. Ed Woodward is generally useless, But, do not be surprised to see them get Cavani in a mad panic, as you say
-
No idea. Its why i thought the loan offer was ridiculous at first
-
Is it just me who thinks although Atletico are faves in the press, they will not be paying him 360k a week?! I am torn on how reliable the news is from The Times, but thinking about it the 6 month loan before going to Atletico in June could be a good idea. Provided we cover his wages because PSG still recoup £12m in total. The loan fee; plus the wages they'd have paid Cavani, now stay in the bank. And it's near enough what theyre asking, depending which media you read
-
That's the only way i see a loan happening. PSG just simply have his wages off the books, plus a small fee. And he goes to Atletico in the summer. So technically its a loan, but in reality you're buying him for £5m on a 6 month contract
-
id be happy with anyone just making a yard of space and hitting a shot, try your luck Seeing it go out to the wing, back across the field to other wing, back across to other wing over and over is so easy to play against
