It has to be. When i thought about it yesterday, it's the only logical reason. And if the club want to recoup a decent-ish sum for him before he walks for free in June, a move to Spurs is possible.

It'll hinge on Marina. I think she'd deal with Spurs depending on the bid. But they'd maybe have a premium thrown on, compared to Inter's offer. She was happy to sell Luiz to Arsenal, Mata to Utd. I know Spurs is a slightly different beast altogether but business is business when you could potentially lose out on 6-7m. Giroud has 6 months left on his deal, an offer of 6-7m say, from anyone, has to be considered. Or he goes for nothing in June. I actually could see him go to Spurs.

This. Inter seem to be dragging their heels. I really dont see much to the Spurs rumour. There will be a contingency in place incase he does go though. Soon as its complete, the club will know who they want, and action it, we hope

I am not sure we have even made a single formal bid, enquiries yes. Problem we have is if we sign a striker now and Giroud doesnt go, we have 4 strikers, and one, even 2; will be kicking his heels doing sod all, like now with Giroud. So it's much better to wait to see if Giroud goes first. I think that is the reason no one has arrived more i think about it
