No 50m transfer has been completed, or do i expect that to happen. What exactly does a 50m player standard player does in a international friendly to merit having a good game? Not yet, but i feel he is going to be a better player. I also rate Ganso highly, he just needs to stay healthy. Oscar is very impressive, his on and off the ball movement is superb, he brings so much more balance then Ganso(lately) with Brazil. The way he orchestrate plays and composure at such a young age is amazing. He is not as technically gifted on the ball as Ganso, but he is just so much more intelligent. He reminds me a lot of McEachran the movement and calmness on the ball. Both are going to be very special players. back on topic Kinda feel the reason why our team has dipped in recent years, is because of settling for second rate players. Also basically what has happened to Liverpool, they said fuck it Mata is too expensive lets just sign the cheaper option Downing. Many other cases they have settled for second rate players.

Not sure on what standard he was poor. He showed good movement and got in good positions, and on a another night he could've been credited with an assist or two and another goal. He was one of the most dangerous player on the pitch. He was far from being poor. I guess he was poor compared to his youtube videos. edit: btw if anyone is unfamiliar with Oscar, he is very impressive prospect from Internacional. He is going to turn a lot of heads this summer with Brazil in the Olympics.

We have played 4-3-3 flat for almost a decade, there are no CAM's in that formation. Lampard---------------Tiago ------------Makelele--------- Lampard-----------Essien------- ------------Makelele------------ Lampard-----------Ballack-------- ------------Essien----------------- Lampard----------Essien--------- ------------Mikel------------------ Lampard----------Ramires -----------Mikel------------ ----------------Mata------------ -------Lampard---Mikel------- There have been exception when Lampard played behind the striker, example like when we brought Sheva we tried to play him along Drogba with Lampard behind them. Under Scolari beginning of the season, And also Carlo experimenting the diamond formation with Lampard in the hole. I can see why you think he is a CAM because of his goals and assists, but he doesn't play behind the striker.

They are being mentioned because they all can play in the double pivot, and fill the need for a creative midfielder. Belhanda is more then advanced playmaker/Winger, this is the only season he has played that role. He has spent most of his career as a DM. Witsel is very versatile he has played everywhere for Benfica and Belgium. LM/RM/CAM/CM. I don't think i need to mention how perfectly Banega and Gundogan fit the double pivot, since both of them play their majority of games in those roles.
-
If you were Brandon Rodgers who would you play: Gylfi Sigurdsson or Josh McEachran? What incentive is there to play McEachran ahead of Sigurdesson? Sigurdesson was playing very well and a long term option for the club. McEachran on the other hand was only going to be there for half of a season. Fitness was also an issue for him, and understandable since he barely played all season. He didn't appear for the reserves either with the exception of a few appearances. Thinks could have turned out differently if AVB didn't have his little go with Rodgers because of the public comments he made about wanting Josh on loan.Rodgers went ahead with other options and signed Sigurdesson, because of our initial reluctance.

Country>Club I fully support him.

Talk about knee-jerk, this i am sure its only based on the cross he provided to Torres against Korea. Banega, Witsel, Belhanda, Ilkay Gundogan lol Thinking the same way, reading the game and positioning its arguably his weakest points. Leif analysis of Romeu was arguably the worst i have seen. Romeu continues to be overrated by our supporters.
-
Assuming we sign Hulk(very likely), i would like to see the Diamond formation back but this time very attacking. Its not realistic, but meh it looks good on paper.

Do you think that what it is? I always wondered why we always send players on loan so late in the transfer window, it makes no sense for all parties. In fact i believe it contributes to their poor showing on loan. I can understand our club wanting to do their diligence and finding the best option for the players, but the strategy is not working. But it is best for the players to settle in have enough time to make an impression on the manager before the season. All managers want to have their squad ready before pre season, and most team don't have the resources like we do to fill our needs in the last day of transfer window. Here is what i believe if teams like Boltan and Wigan really needed the likes of Kakuta and PVA they would have not waited intil the last day of the window to sign them, they would have signed similar players well before the deadline. With Swansea case they actually needed McEachran, but they were not going to wait for us they ended up signing Sigurrosson.

He said he is leaving everything up to his agent.

Hulk is the better player atm, so it is understandable. He is the safer choice and would provide a more immediate impact. Long term Gotze is the better prospect obviously if he continues to progress. I wouldn't invest the money that is being speculated on Gotze. He is a great prospect but the most impressive is the polish in his game and maturity at such a young age. But one season and half does not warrant the transfer fee of 30m and above. Careers can digress, look at Marco Marin he was lauded the "German Messi" when he was the same age as Gotze, and Bojan Krkic, Quaresma are other cases. Careers can go the other way, for example Ozil was a bench warmer at Schalke at the same age. So i would be wary before i pencil these young players as future Ballon d'or winners. So it is reasonable for someone to prefer the better player atm, which clearly Hulk is. Personally think Neymar is the closest thing to a sure thing. He is already a marketing superstar, so that can only help if he doesn't pan out.
-
That is because Dortmund has a really good team and Jurgen Klopp is the real star of that team. Same thing happened last season when Sahin went down, and it didn't stop them from wining the league. I would surprised if Gotze leaves anytime soon, i expect him to be at Dortmund for the next 3 years minimum. Dortmund is great team playing in one of the best league with amazing supporters. If this is all hypothetical i would pick Neymar over Hulk and Gotze.
-
I would say Yaya Toure has been the best CM in the league this season. After him i can't name many top class players at that position. Then you are looking at players like Arteta, Carrick, and Fellaini. Nothing impressive. Lauding him the best CM in the league is not saying much tbh.

What has happend to Serie A for the last few years? declining with more match fiixng issues and most of the clubs inability to cope with FFP, does not look good for the outlook. I am not saying they will catch Serie this year or next, but down the line i see it as possibility. I completely disagree especially about Ligue 1 being superior, what has any French club has done outside of their league in recent years? Bundesliga, EPL, and La Liga are reasonably better that part i agree.
-
I have to ask how much have you seen of Hulk play? by reading some of your comments i can clearly see you haven't watched a single game of his, at most maybe a recent friendly game for Brazil. comparing Hulk to Cardozo? lmao that is like comparing Aguero to Negredo. For anyone who has seen Hulk play in Primeira Liga they would tell you he is the best player in that league arguably the best player to play in that league in recent years. He absolutely carried that team this season, while being the single focus of that team. Your perception of the Primeira Liga is absolutely rubbish, we are not talking about the Eredivisie or the Belgian league, Primeria Liga is the fifth best league and only a matter of time before they surpass Serie A.
-
Dortmund actually already replaced Kagawa with Marco Reus, this move was nothing but expected. For me Reus is better, he is going to do great at Dortmund. Don't think Dortmund are much bothered. I don't think they need Sahin, because Iikay Gundogan is another potential star for Germany.
-
The thing is Torres has never been spectacular with Spain, especially with Vicente Del Bosque and his playing style. Fernando Hierro has more goals with Spain then Torres, and he was a CB. lol I wouldn't put much stock into his performance in the Euros. In fact few players have been able to replicate their success on the club level to international scene. .
-
But Lampard is better then Ramires in the double pivot tho, we have seen that this season. And if you watched Ramires with Brazil during Copa America last year you would further be convinced that Lampard is much better suited in that role. Ramires has glaring flaws, like his passing, first touch, and close control. Ramires has his qualities, but those qualities does not suit the double pivot. Lampard has the better quality for that role. We have seen Lampard not make or few of his trademark runs into the penalty box since switching to 4-2-3-1, that is a credit to his intelligence and tactical discipline. He is not going to be caught out of position or see our midfield be overrun and he is also much better in tight space then Ramires. Sure Ramires is more dynamic, but with the attacking players we are going to have next season Lampard is much more needed in that role.
-
I don't think i can understand the hate and detest for Barcelona playing style, their one touch passing is truly wonderful. It is truly amazing how in sync and efficient they are. I can understand if you are rooting against them, the game does get boring from that perspective. But from a natural standpoint i can't understand. I guess to each their own, i have had some people telling me they enjoy watching stoke play. which i don't even consider Stoke a FC.
-
Well said, people need to stop with the loan to Stoke talk it makes no sense. We don't want him to play like Stoke-esque player, we want him to develop his touch, dribble, and runs not be the master of the hoof the ball tactic. He won't be sent to Vitesse because he won't be counted as a homegrown player if he was sent to a foreign league. tbh Vitesse wouldn't really be the worst place he could be sent to they are possibly competing in the Europa league and Eredivisie is one of the most technical league in Europe. It could do him good to be sent to a league to work on his technical skills and where that side is valued.
-
Marin i am guessing. Well technically there is a place for him. Add Hulk to that list and that is four players for 3 positions. Plenty of room for a team that plays over 50 games.

The thing is VDW is a much better player with Netherlands then Ajax. Maybe he is one of those players that picks up his performance when surrounded with better players.

From the few Lille games i have seen, Mathieu Debuchy has impressed me a lot. Very well rounded Rb. He is being linked to Newcastle United and it wouldn't surprise if he ended up being another Cabaye and Cisse for them. Another RB that has impressed me is Borussia Dortmund's Lukasz Piszcek. He is not going to be cheap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yQUyUL3Qoo Either choice would make a good signing.
