That's easy. Eriksen, Coutinho, sterling and Barkley. Not only have they been better this season but they are also significantly better no 10 than the "shape/balance keeper" in the same age bracket. Now if we are talking 24 and older, there's a long list of them.
-
One bad game? Where have you been for the past 24 months? The number of bad games He's had over his Chelsea career comfortbaly dwarfs his good ones. Some posters have now finally realised he's not good enough as a first choice AM and far too inconsistent while others have simply ran out of patience for him.
-
We need a great response/performance in the 2nd half.
-
Name another top team in Europe whose first choice AM is as technically limited and inconsistent as Oscar? If we are to achive our objectives and meet our ambition then Oscar is NOT the answer. it's that simple. enough with the excuses.
-
people are now finally realising what i have known about oscar for a long time. He's not a first choice quality player. never has been and never will be. the sooner we upgrade the AM position, the better.
-
It's not an exxageration when I say this is easily our worst 1st half performance in a very very long time (nevermind this season) Only Hazard and Cech covered themselves in glory in that half, the rest including JT have been absoultely dreadful
-
hang on you are telling me Baker didn't even have his "academy day" before being shipped out on loan. it's worse than I thought.
-
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2903231/Chelsea-sent-30-players-loan-season-Lewis-Baker-s-switch-Sheffield-Wednesday-making-star-midfielder.html This is shocking tbh. 30 players that's THIRTY players smh. We should write a book titled developing youngsters the Chelsea way by Krusty the clown

Ross Barkely is another one. Even those that are impressing on loan are not getting any look in and that's a big worry. This is attributed to the mentality that the jump from youth to playing first team football is so huge that those that impress in the championship and leagues around Europe are always dismissed with comments like "doing it at a club like Chelsea is a different matter altogether. What's the point of sending them out on loan if the management have already made up their mind that impressing in a league or level they consider inferior to the premier league counts for absolutely nothing. You are just wasting this youngsters time under such circumstances. close the academy and sell them already. It's an impossible mission trying to impress or convince someone with a "meh but can you do it at this level, I don't think so" mentality. These youngsters can impress all they want on loan, it won't change a thing.
-
It's a vicious and never ending cycle. We reinforce Einstein's definition of insanity on a yearly basis. It will be RLC, solanke and Boga's turn in 2 season's time to get wasted on loan and just in time for Jay da silva, Tammy abraham and Kyle scott's "academy day"
-
Like that makes a difference in regards to his chances of making it here which is extremely slim unfortunately as he's a player I really rate. even if he impresses we will just loan him out straight away next season and again and again until he gets caught up in a bad loan move and soon forgotten.

yes. . . .on fifa and PES
-
Let's hope so. He's won me over for sure. Comes across as well grounded, very professional and hardworking lad who shows willingness to learn and improve. Whether he has the patience and tolerance to tolerate this for much longer remains to be seen.
-
Some of us are praising his agent because we still have faith in morality and ethical values as hard as that may sound and when an agent/person does what seems to be against the norm in this ever so corrupt and immoral world, it deserves praise. These youngsters are human beings and not "cash cows" for the corporate world of football. There's nothing wrong with selling players that doesn't fit into a club's present and long term future but when that becomes your main and primary objective then it's a no no in my book.
-
which will be demoralising to the young lad and a big shame.
-
Exactly. I said exactly the same thing when we were first linked with a jose return. why invest so much money and effort into building the academy and preach about a strong commitment to youth development and integration into the first team only to recruit a manager that isn't known for developing youth to oversee the poject. it's almost like booking Miley Cyrus to perform at a royal function. total mismtach.
-
If he doesn't start over cahill in the next match atleast that will tell us that Jose isn't as fair and impartial as he claims to be.
-
I agree to a certain extent but the more I see him make absolute big deals out of handing youngsters rare playing time and referring to 22/23 year old int'ls as spring chicken and little horses leads me to believe he has distrust for young and unestablished players. It's all in the tone and action. In his mind he feels as though playing a youth automatically puts us at a disadvantage and limits our chances of winning matches. To me it's a combination of general distrust of youngsters (aka lack of balls) and lackadastical attitude that you alluded to. And if he persists with cahill over Zouma in coming matches it will further highlight that distrust. Therefore he would rather trust an average but proven defender that has been in awful form recently and for majority if the season over a young, highly promising but unproven defender that has shown great form recently.
-
He has the best agent in world football, integrity wise. How many agent puts the future and happiness of their client above monetary values and glamour. His agent pretty much convinced him to join Leicester over us even though financially speaking it would have been in his own selfish interest to convince him otherwise and for that i commend him. football needs more agent like that.
-
But ultimately they didn't leave and the only one that left so far (Drogba) didn't leave to join a rival and Gerrard who's leaving at the end of the season as made it crystal clear that he's moving abroad as he considers the thought of joining a rival an abomination (paraphrased). Your point is mute tbh
-
lampard has always been self centred and stubborn. That clip was back in 2000. Him and Di canio went at it for more than 1 minute. I also remembered him pulling that crap under AVB, Mata was our primary penalty taker at the time, he came on as a sub against City at the bridge and pretty much bullied mata into relinquishing the Penalty duty in that game.
-
Does that also explain why a 36yo drogba is ahead of him in the pecking order?
-
I don't know what else he has to do to get regular playing time. He's scored in virtually every game he's featured in this season (feels that way). If he doesn't feature in the next coming days then it will reflect badly on Jose. Also He's proven in this league and 28 yo. . . . He isn't Solanke/RLC jose.
-
But he's their for balance. It'z all about ze balanze

Come on valencia.
