Suppose I'll do a little Sunderland scouting here against City. Won't be a pretty score line I reckon. You can bet they'll game raise like mad against us.
-
To be fair to José regarding that 10 games promise, I'm sure even he didn't expect JT to roll back the years and perform as well as he did years ago. He probably really did expect Kalas to play.
-
Fucking hell, £30m!? Insane! No way is he worth that.
-
At £32m he represents good value for a player who's still young and has time to improve and get even better. At £50m you expect a consistently world class, finished article player who's already at their peak and has been scoring loads for years and years like Falcao. I'd just have a bad feeling if he costs that much. Big flop risk in my opinion. Plus it would likely mean we'll be going for cheaper targets in the other areas of need.

Arse are terrible. Giroud may actually be worse than Torres. You can just see his teammates getting annoyed at him time and time again. I'm sure Arse will get their normal flukey luck and steal this one in the end.
-
I'm just saying that I'd expect that level of unbelievable quality. Don't know if I see Costa as someone who can completely carry a team or dominate an opponent singlehandedly like Suarez can. Agreed. Think Cavani would welcome the move as well so he can become what he should be which is the focal point and main man in attack, not stuck out wide and playing second fiddle to Ibra like he is currently.
-
Yeah, way too risky for anywhere near that type of money. I think his release clause is exactly what he's worth. Between £30-35m. For £50m I'd expect to be getting someone in Suarez or Agüero's class which Costa isn't in yet.If were willing to spend that much (which Jose has said we're indeed capable of doing) than we could maybe persuade PSG to sell us Cavani.

Would be absolutely hilarious, but nothing will happen. Would love a points deduction or 1 year transfer ban, though. As far as the CM we should sign, we should start at the top of the talent pool. Immediately try to negotiate with Bayern and Juve about Kroos, Vidal, and Pogba. If they aren't attainable THEN we start looking at the tier below them. I too would be delighted with Witsel. Seems like he'd be reasonably easy to sign when compared to the others because he doesn't play for a huge club. He'd probably jump at the chance to take such a massive step up in his career.

£50m for Diego Costa!? Bullshit. At least these rags can make the prices they make up seem semi-believable.
-
Yeah, anything over £20m is ridiculous for Shaw I think. The rumored fee that United will bid is £27m or something crazy like that. They can have him for that. That's the type of money you pay for a world class, finished article.Just hope we go into next season without ANY "all we need is this" questions like we have for the past few years. We need to address all of our needs in this coming window. Striker, CM, LB. Shouldn't be any trouble at all for us to get those.
-
United fans now convinced that Shaw will be theirs. Would be a big mistake if we don't even attempt to sign him.
-
Overpowered everyone on the field once more today with the exception of one player. Bony went toe to toe with him numerous times and was actually holding his own. Impressive strength from the little man.
-
This.I'm sure Jozy Altidore will be imbued with the power and ability of Achilles for this one and have the game of his life after looking like a Championship level striker the whole season. A repeat of Stoke last weekend would be nice. Hopefully the lads aren't looking past this one and thinking about the next game. Take care of business and don't play like we did today.
-
Thank fuck it's over and we have the 3 points! Abysmal performance. If we had a single clinical finisher in that side today we'd have cruised to victory comfortably. Suarez or Sturridge on the end of a lot of those chances we had and it would've been 4-5 nil. Think we're in for another nervy, hold-your-breath match next week against a dire Sunderland as well. Please let us have Hazard by then!
-
This is infuriating!!! Hw can the layers be playing like this with all that's at stake!?
-
Yet ANOTHER chance to pass it into an open net and we miss!
-
Without Hazard we are utterly toothless. We get to the edge of the box and play totally stagnates. We should be blowing minnows like Swansea who are in terrible form off the pitch when they've got 11 men. They look totally comfortable with 10 men. Liverpool or City would have it dead and buried by now with 2 or 3 goals. We don't play triangles or try any inventive play in the final third. Almost all of our shot attempts are blasts from outside of the box. City and Liverpool look like they actually have a plan when they get there, we look clueless.
-
This is getting embarrassing now...
-
Struggling badly to break down 10 men. Missing Hazard. Play comes to a halt around their box.
-
We have absolutely ZERO creativity in the final third. Hard to watch.
-
Can barely get a touch. One of those games again. Look like we're still asleep.
-
So, will Swansea be the latest to play the game raising cunts against us? Villa and Palace have done it already so I'm gonna say yes. They've been shit recently so this is the game they'll suddenly decide to play like they did at their best when Laudrup was there. We have to kill it early. Hopefully we're comfortable by halftime, but I doubt it. Give us some more goals, Andre!
-
Oh what I'd give for us to shit on Liverpool at Anfield and see José do a knee slide in front if the Kop.
-
Ba is auditioning for his next club for the remainder of the season. Hopefully he plays his heart out.
