  1. It'll be nice to see Hazard have another French speaking mate at the club, too. I sense another bromance coming Ba-style.
  2. I doubt we'll even see him start a single PL or CL match unless it's an absolute emergency. He'll be a late game sub and play in the lesser competitions I'd guess.Imagine bringing on The Drog in the 80th minute and partnering him with Costa for a few minutes. Fabregas and Hazard feeding him. Sounds like a great "plan B" to me. Not the ideal striker we should be bringing in, but it'll do for a season.
  3. Oh, come on!He's not fucking Bendtner or Heskey is he?
  4. I won't complain if he's brought back, but I have to agree with Term here that I'd rather have seen Eto'o given another year long contract.
  5. Like Liverpool will be next season.
  6. Couple of matches on the bench without a look-in and we'll hear "I have to start thinking about myself in January. I have a dozen clubs begging me to join them."
  7. Nope, lol.Like Skipper just said, looks like a nice guy.
  8. Lukaku has said numerous times that he's modeling himself after Rooney or CR7 and wants to be the main man and undisputed, first choice striker. Even if he's told that he'd get plenty of playing time here that just doesn't seem enough to satisfy him.
  9. Imagine the shit we'd get if we sell him to Everton and he out scores Costa. I think it's looking more and more likely that Drogba will be back as our 3rd striker. I hope not, though. We need a striker that offers something completely different than what Costa does. Thing is, who that's good enough would come in knowing he'd be a backup? Why not just give Eto'o another 1 year contract?
  10. It would be a huge mistake to permanently sell him to an English club. Not only could he take points off of us (like Everton always seem to do anyways) but we'd look like complete mugs if he realizes his potential and slays the PL just like Sturridge did. Either loan him to Everton or sell/loan him abroad. We shouldn't even consider selling him to an English side.
  11. If we are done buying then at least for the first time in years we can say that we aren't starting the season thinking "all we need now in the next window is this." We've addressed all of our needs. We don't NEED any other starting XI players.
  12. 14 bloody million for Borini!? Fucking hell. He's with about a third of that. I really hope they go down this season.
  13. Yes, Luke Shaw is significantly younger, but the fact that we have just bought a MUCH better, win now player for literally HALF the fee is insane. In his prime, league winning experience , plenty of European experience, and well used to going against the worlds best players. The perfect signing in nearly every way.
  14. The horizontal stripes on the new home shirt are growing on me. Look way better on the players than in stock photos.
  15. If he's not staying then this would be the ideal outcome.Either sell or loan him to Juve in part exchange for Pogba.
  16. They haven't the slightest chance of signing ANY of those players. Had a gander over on RAWK and they actually think they'd be able to attract Reus. Most deluded fan base in football.
  17. Looking forward to playing QPR and spanking Rio.
  18. God, I hope so!Unfortunately, I think Van Gaal has a brain between those ears and will determine almost immediately that Fellaini is shit and he won't see the pitch unless the situation is dire. It would be hilarious if Van Gaal comes out and says "I want to give Cleverly a chance." The muppets on RedCafe would commit suicide.
  19. Carrick out for 10-12 weeks for the Mancs. Expect to see a bid for Vidal very soon.
  20. I don't remember hearing about him falling out with Khedira or Di Maria. Wasn't Di Maria one of his first personal buys there? Also can't imagine that Isco (who RM just HAD to have last summer) will be happy with them buy a shiny, new toy that'll replace him. Wonder if Ancelotti will continue to sit Varane on the bench in favor of Pepe. José would snap him up without a second thought.
  21. If true I'd find it very hard to believe José wouldn't be sniffing around a few of his former players.
  22. He's really not the type of player they need, though. That's the thing that baffles me a bit and makes me wonder if they've even seen him play regularly. He isn't the DM they all seem to think they'd be getting. He's a player who bombs forward and plays as a box to box midfielder like Ramsey or Wilshere do. He's not going to sit deep, act as a screen for the back four, and hold for the majority of the match. If, for instance, they lined up with a Ramsey/Khedira midfield 2 against us along with players like Özil in front of them who don't contribute at all defensively, I think another huge blowout would be possible. Too lightweight in the middle. They need a "hard man" like Matic. Khedira is basically a non-shit Ramires. Good as a compliment to a proper defensive mid but not THE defensive mid.
  23. I'd certainly have him if one of Mikel or Ramires were off. He's a very good and useful player but no more than that. If you listen to Arse fans gushing and swooning over him you'd think he was this world class super hero who is the answer to all of their problems. He's not a player who will singlehandedly transform a midfield. To be honest, he'd be a tremendous fit here. More so than he would in Arsenal's side. It would likely mean Oscar won't be a nailed on starter, though. Khedira as the box to box player next to Matic with Cesc further up the pitch. I laughed yesterday when I was listening to TalkSport and both hosts said that Arsenal signing Khedira would be "a game changer," and that "they SHOULD win the title if they sign him." That's ridiculous. He's no Vidal. I think he's really underrated by people here but really overrated by Arse fans. I'd be happy if we signed him if it was a reasonable fee.
