Benzema is one of those players who I think is very fortunate to be at Madrid in my eyes. I think he's in that bracket just below Real Madrid quality. He'd be excellent as the main focal point in a very good side but when he's in a team full of superstars he looks a bit average and goes missing quite a bit. If he was at Arsenal for instance I think he'd have massive statistics.

So, if Torres' massive wages go off the books and with the £28m we still have from Lukaku why not set r sights a bit higher than Destro? I'm sure we still have money left over from the other sales as well. José has openly talked about using a 2 striker lineup on multiple occasions so why not try to bring in a top drawer player? We could probably afford Cavani pretty easily and he and Costa could both play together frequently. Even if not, we'll be playing so many games this season like we always do and he'd start plenty.

I've definitely made fun of Welbeck at times in the past but at times he can look like the best player in the pitch for United. Consistency is what he needs to work on.I think he'd get plenty of games for us and there's not a chance he's worse than Torres. He's not the best finisher but that's what happens when you don't play often. Having a look over on RedCafe a few days ago when the news broke that they'll sell him and the majority of them are pretty angry that he may leave. They'd rather sell Hernandez. Anyways, it's a moot point as there's not a chance they'd sell him to us. Even though we sold them our best player I doubt they'd even consider it.

Actually wouldn't mind Welbeck myself. Still young and can be improved by a manager that makes him feel special like José. At United he's been in and out of the team and would go long periods without playing at all. When he finally did play he was shunted out wide. If he's played where he should be played I think he has a very high ceiling. Plus we could really use a young, homegrown English player.

As great as Ivanovic has been these first two matches, I think I'd personally go with Azpi and Luis as our fullbacks. Ivanovic struggles against wide players with pace. Azpi is the best 1 on 1 defender in the league so having him on Baines' side would make sense. He's also got the recovery speed that Iva just doesn't have.

At least he's not going to United.

If James has a year that the Madrid board feel isn't spectacular I wouldn't be surprised if they started sniffing around Hazard as their next obsession.

This is why FFP is such a joke.It's fair for United to spend unlimited money because they've "earned" it but it's unfair for an owner who loves their club and wants to give his supporters a great product. Remember how invisible and completely ineffective Baines was for England at the World Cup when he's pressed constantly and not allowed to get forward? If it's Vidal it'll go a long way.Their defense will likely still be a streaming pile of shit, but with Vidal & Herrera in midfield with the attacking players they have up top they may be able to do a Liverpool and just out score everyone. They'll concede 2-3 per game but score 4-5 themselves.
