That would be a total waste. Why bury him on the bench never to be seen in any meaningful match when we could surely get £10-12m from some midtable side?
-
Uhh, Pedro?Do people really think Moses is good enough to displace either Willian or Cuadrado? No chance.
-
You have to take that with a Rob Beasley sized grain of salt, though.
-
He was a key player for Stoke. They gave the ball to him and asked him to be their main creative player. Wouldn't get that here obviously. He'd play 10 minutes here or there and the odd League Cup appearance.
-
Moses would be a total waste of a first team place. He wouldn't ever play and when he did he'd be shit due to lack of matches. Totally pointless keeping him.
-
If we seriously aren't after players like Pedro because of Moses I'm going to lose it.
-
We're seriously going to keep Moses? Fucking hell.
-
"Please, mate, we need English players for the quota. Take £60k a week and go on a nice 5 year holiday."
-
We all know you're more of an Ivanovic girl. Dat booty!
-
I remember him looking like that last preseason as well and slimmed down pretty quickly. He's never been a skinny guy. He's very thick and compact.
-
Hopefully Barca are still after Pogba. Otherwise....City may actually have a legit shot at him basically unopposed.
-
In certain cases that's true but this would just be a simple question just like the Pogba or Stones questions.José isn't like Sir Alex who banned everyone he didn't like.
-
Pretty unbelievable how the journalists didn't ask José about the player we're linked with the strongest. Not one of them thought to ask him about Pedro? Really? Negligent as usual.
-
I think he has effectively ruled out any "big" signings and is sticking by what he said months ago about buying a few that will improve the squad as a whole and simply push the current XI to perform better and worry about their place in the team. Doesn't appear well be making any direct first XI signings. May hurt us later in the season again or if we get key injuries but may also be hugely beneficial having a settled squad when everyone else will have half of their first XI's filled with new players. Definitely think we may be in trouble if we advance far in the CL with this approach, though.
-
Time to lock this old thread up, then. The asking price is just too high.
-
Didn't they sign that left back from Benfica? He terrible?
-
So will he just slot straight back into their starting XI? Would be stupid of him to return otherwise, right?
-
Martinez is a whiney dope. He's always complaining about something.
-
And I think that's exactly what would happen if Cahill has a patch like he did last season when he was benched for Zouma.
-
I keep seeing people saying "just wait a couple of years and then buy him." By then he'll cost £50-60m if he continues developing at the rate the market is inflating! This summer is probably the cheapest any club will be able to buy him for. As he improves the more the price goes up and the more our rivals will be interested in him. Currently it doesn't seem like City are after another CB because they have Kompany coming back into fitness and they just spunked £40m on Mangala, United are obsessed with getting a big "name," and Arsenal just bought a CB in January. We're in a pretty lucky position right now of not really having huge competition for Stones. Should act quickly this summer before United come sniffing and offer wages we won't go near.
-
Bemir? Is that a Lord of the Rings character?
-
Are we going to be scratching another one off the board? It's almost getting funny now. Bayern have apparently told Juventus that Götze will cost €40m. Our negotiating team should be camped out in front of the Bayern offices with a big, fat bag of cash waiting for them to open tomorrow. What a steal that would be.
-
He'll probably make a couple of late game appearances on this tour while his loan is sorted. There are a bunch of guys that have no chance at our first team on the tour.
-
The biggest stumbling block in our pursuit is the fact that Everton have absolutely no reason to sell. That's true, unfortunately. They aren't a cash strapped relegation candidate or in huge debt and have to sell if any big offer comes in. Apparently Everton are looking to ADD to their thin back line so selling their best CB would be a huge setback. Doesn't look like we'll be able to get him no matter what we offer. Unless he has his head turned and kicks up a fuss, and in that case it'll just piss Everton off and they'll demand Sterling money. With the new TV money coming into play the smaller teams don't need money as much and don't have to bend to the will of the big boys any longer. Offering one of our best youngsters in addition to the transfer price sounds like something we should try. Otherwise this is futile in my opinion.

If he himself is deperate to go back then sell him. If this is just Atleti trying their hardest to turn his head but Luis is happy enough to stay at Chelsea then they can fuck off. I want him here.
