What? We've seen it up close and personal over the last few seasons in the PL. Hazard, Suarez, Bale, and RvP to name a few. They each did it throughout an entire season.

For this sort of money you'd just expect to get someone like Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar. A player who can singlehandedly dominate matches on a consistent basis and score 30, 40, or 50 goals a season. Good as Pogba is he isn't that type of player. He doesn't really control and boss games. He's the ultimate luxury player. He'll be excellent for United but the fee will always be ridiculous unless he wins a couple of Ballon d'or's.

I'll be jealous that they'll have Pogba but I'm glad it's not us that's spending that amount on a single player. There are 2-3 players in the world that are worth that amount and Pogba isn't one of them. As long as Conte gets the backing he needs we'll be fine. I'd rather buy 3 top class £30-40m players than a single £100m+ player.

We all know Mourinho is the master in the biggest games at grinding out results and simply not losing. All he has to do is continue to do that next season because they will absolutely blast away the midtable and small sides. With the way PL sides defend these days there's just no chance any of them are stopping Zlatan, Martial, Mkhitaryan, and Pogba. Maybe even Roney will be rejuvenated under José. Clear title favorites if they sign Pogba.

£100m on a single player. We can almost fortify our entire team with great players for that amount. We could sign all of Kante, Koulibaly, and Nainggolan for that.

Sterling and Stones' valuations are ridiculous because they've proven and accomplished fuck all. They cost £50m only because they're English. Morata's valuation is crazy too but he's played for two of the biggest clubs in the world and scored goals in huge matches. He's also the starting #9 for Spain and proved that he can cut it at international level unlike Sterling and Stones. We have to start looking past high fees now. I'm sure most of it is made up bullshit from journo's, but to see repeated bids for Nainggolan rejected is annoying when we know we have the money to pay up. Why isn't Koulibaly already a Chelsea player? He's not on international duty and plays for a club much smaller than Chelsea. A big bag of cash should have been on Napoli's front lawn weeks ago and Koulibaly should be in Chelsea blue. Wish we'd just pay up and be done with things like we did a couple of summers ago.
