Cunha is a pretty strange signing for United imo unless they cash in on Fernandes. Those two operate best in the exact same role/area of the pitch in that #10 area behind a striker. He’s not a natural wide player and he’s not a forward. Playing those two together would have any top team licking their lips at how easily you’d be able to carve through them defensively.

Will say, in a summer where Osimhen and Gyokeres will both be on the move, us still being linked with Delap and Ekitike and ending up with one of them instead would be really underwhelming/disappointing. These are not the sort of striker that comes in and takes us to Liverpool’s level or scares any of the elite teams in Europe.
-
These days, sure. The United of past years would’ve gone out this summer and sounded huge money on some superstars and offered monster wages. Now they’re skint and have to shop at smaller clubs for players who would jump at the chance to move to a big club.
-
This business of him playing miles away from the box needs to hopefully never happen again from the start of next season. Seeing him dropping all the way into basically the Caicedo area of the pitch to pick up the ball is ridiculous.
-
Cunha + Delap is not scary at all for United if that’s what they end up with. Both good players but not ones to take them back to challenging for anything important.
-
Less competition for Osimhen and Gyokeres then.
-
Yeah, I like the look of him. Not saying I’d have him as our main forward signing but I wouldn’t be upset if we got him as an option in addition to an Osimhen/Gyokeres.
-
What do you guys think about Mbeumo from Brentford? Had an amazing season and is always an absolute pain in the ass for the big teams, oursleves included.
-
Ah, thought you meant the Barca Araujo. Yep. Sanchez has shown just enough for Maresca and the club to keep him as our #1 unfortunately. He wasn’t a complete disaster down the stretch so he’s staying for sure.
-
Isn’t Araujo injured all the time?
-
And exhale. Now we sit back and pray that Clownlake seize the opportunity to get this club back where it belongs.
-
We really going to shut this down and not even try to play football? Just inviting all the insane pressure on to us for 30 minutes?
-
Madueke is so incredibly frustrating. Can’t wait until he’s hopefully nothing more than an impact sub next season. Kills so many promising attacks with his terrible decision making.
-
Man, I hope this is just one really long blip for Palmer that he’ll snap out of and be right back to his best next season. Because how he has gone from the most dangerous player in the entire league from anywhere in the opponent half to completely on the periphery of most games is extremely strange. He’s not injured, he doesn’t look fatigued. He’s just woefully out of form I guess. And without his magic we look extremely poor in attack.
-
This is pathetic, man. We can’t even get the ball, never mind complete a few passes. WTF have we been working on all week?!
-
We’re being completely dominated just like the first half of the Newcastle match. Our players look completely soft and lost. Forest look dangerous with nearly every attack.
-
They look like they have a clear plan and idea in the final third whereas we’re just playing sloppy, hopeful passes.
-
Complete lack of urgency from us again. Just passing it slowly across the back and not causing them any trouble at all in their half.
-
What’s the alternative, really? Guiu hasn’t played in months and George isn’t a striker as we saw last time he started up front.
-
Expect Forest will come at us guns blazing in the first portion of the match like Newcastle did a couple weeks ago to try to get an early goal. Get the crowd in a frenzy and try to rattle us. So we better be able to match their energy or this could be a horror show.
-
Looks like Maresca is going more attack oriented than safe and secure with Lavia. Sure would have been nice to have a proper striker up top for such a massive match instead of Neto being forced to play there…
-
I’m oddly relaxed about this game. If we win and get UCL footy I’ll obviously be excited (perhaps naively) because it could mean better transfer targets and Championship League nights have been badly missed. But if we fail to win it’s not likely to change much in terms of targets judging by who were linked with.
-
Morgan Rogers is the only one of those named by Jacobs that would genuinely excite me. Even Sesko, while talented, feels like a big risk to me. Gittens and Garnacho would be a massive letdown and I will be extremely skeptical about them until the season starts and we see them in action. Think Rogers has the potential to be a top player and it would be wise to go for him now before he has another great season and City or Liverpool come sniffing around. We’d probably have a free run at him this summer if Villa do indeed have PSR issues again.
-
Garnacho or Gittens would be monster flops. For the love of god, don’t do something silly…

Wasn’t the report yesterday that Seško is Arsenal’s top choice?
