  1. Yeah, not even thinking about anyone else doing us favors or one of the others choking. It’s ONLY about us beating Forest. Would have been nice if we had some highly seasoned mentality monsters in the side for this last match who have been there and done it. But if we show up like we did today it’s going to be extremely nervy. The hope is that at home Forest will be even more sweaty and nervous and they buckle under pressure.
  2. The 3 points were all that mattered tonight but fuck me, that was some horrid football. I’m glad Boehly and Egbhali were in attendance there. They can again witness firsthand how desperately we need a world class striker and keeper. And once those two positions are sorted we need another attacker who can produce some magic consistently like Palmer does when in form. With his quality dropping off a cliff in the second half of the season we have too many inconsistent AM’s.
  3. That was game fucking over there. How does a professional attacker miss the target there?!
  4. Still ZERO urgency despite us now knowing the Villa result.
  5. Getting increasingly clear now that this is the case. I’m sure Maresca is a fine coach but he just can’t get a proper tune out of this group.
  6. How is it that Villa are an,e to be hugely motivated with what’s at stake but we look like we’re a team that isn’t bothered at all, shows zero urgency, and haven’t gone through the tactics at all in training this week?
  7. Need Lavia on and Enzo moved up the pitch. Love Tyrique as a talent but it’s abundantly clear that he is not made for this false 9 role. He looks totally lost. It’s beyond comical that a club of our stature has to resort to playing him here when our already average striker is missing.
  8. We finally gained complete control of the match but without early season Palmer we are useless beyond belief in the final third. Don’t really look remotely close to scoring outside of a few long range potshots.
  9. Caicedo is the only midfielder doing anything. Enzo nd Palmer having absolute stinkers in such a big game. Offering nothing at all.
  10. Neto, Palmer, and George haven’t had a single touch in a dangerous are yet. We look like we’ve never played together before. What have we trained this last week?!
  11. They’re effortlessly bypassing our midfield every time they get the ball whereas we’re in desperation mode this game and can’t get it into their half to save our lives.
  12. My god, we are fucking SHIT. Being dominated by this lot. My fucking god.
  13. Just now realized that American TV here is showing the Villa/Spuds match instead of ours, ffs. Now I have to watch this mega important game via a stream that will freeze 200 times. 🤬🤬🤬
  14. Agreed. Which is why if we fail to win here I won’t even be angry. If we can t beat the worst United side in PL history then we don’t deserve UCL. And with the massively underwhelming targets we’re bing linked with it’s not like we really need it anyways. I have no faith that with UCL footy these owners would use it to spend big on top quality.
  15. True, but now some of their players will be auditioning to start for the final. Their levels will be raised compared to previous matches.
  16. Spuds are basically gifting Villa an easy and comfortable 3 points with their team selection, btw. So even more pressure on us against United who are clearly taking this one needlessly seriously.
  17. That’s an XI from United put out for only one purpose: to piss on our season and laugh about it in the changing room afterwards as they know they’ll have UCL next week after beating an even more woeful Spuds side. I fully expect United to raise their game and put in their best performance in months today. So it’s up to us to be up for the battle and not fold under pressure like last week.
  18. Percy is extremely reliable on Leicester stuff, too. I’m 100% convinced these owners aren’t going to change if this is true. All of our rivals are going to be loading up on elite players to help them straight away whilst we’re going to continue going after complete rando’s like this who may never see the pitch in a Chelsea shirt.
  19. Think the reporting I saw was that the Sporting kid is coming in straight away during the CWC. But who knows. I’d be incredibly surprised if we were interested in another CM.
  20. Last thing we need despite me really rating him. We’ve got Andrey Santos and that guy from Sporting we bought in January coming in to add to our already great midfield options. And £60m for Wharton I think Palace would laugh at and instantly tell anyone to piss off.
  21. No Kulu-what’s his name, no Maddison, no Bergvall. That’s probably their best players all missing other than Son, right? I don’t think they have a chance even as shit as United are. Plus, it’s fucking Tottenham let’s be real. They’ll shit the bed in a high pressure final.
  22. It would be the biggest choke job in as long as I can remember if United fail to beat Spuds. Annoys me quite a bit that after having a hugely embarrassing season these bastards are going to get UCL football to bail them out and use as a springboard to refresh their squad with much better players. I respect Amorim still and think with a nice squad overhaul they’ll bounce back up to being decent next season.
  23. I am genuinely not bothered in the slightest seeing these Delap to United advancing reports. This would probably sound like sour grapes to a United fan, but I think he will massively underwhelm there just like their last two striker signings Zirkzee and Hojlund. I think his work rate and tenacity will be an improvement for them but in terms of putting up actual numbers I don’t see it. I’d be very happy if they got him rather than Osimhen as was rumored.
  24. For these two players in particular they feel much less risky. One looks like a generational talent and the other is now battle tested in a solid league and will come back to the club in a position where we’re well stocked. What I’m disliking about the clubs approach is that we’re ONLY targeting players like this and not supplementing the team with experienced buys.
  25. If Huijsen was any other nationality I wonder if Real Madrid would even have known about him. Just doesn’t seem right seeing a guy go from tiny English side where he has been very promising but not elite straight to the biggest club in the world. I thought for sure he’d do a stopover for 3 years somewhere and then go to Madrid if he develops well. But I guess you can’t possibly turn this move down as a Spaniard when they really want you. Him already saying his ultimate dream is to play for Madrid months ago means that whichever PL club may have landed him would’ve been instantly on the countdown timer until they started tapping him up and he asked to go. So it’s a blessing in disguise that this didn’t happen. CB is one of the last positions in the team where you get a top player established for a couple of years and then he forces himself out. Too difficult to find top ones. As for Murillo who some keep mentioning, he literally just signed a new deal a couple of months ago, right? An ambitious club like Forest coming off their best season in decades wouldn’t even consider selling him for under £100m. No chance we can get him.
