Yikes! Not feeling us laying not the same exact XI that looked burnt out at the final whistle. I would've heavily rotated here. Thought for certain that CHO, Jorginho, Tomori, and Emerson would start this.
-
I'm already annoyed as hell at Richarlison repeatedly diving and being awarded free kicks and we're hours from kickoff. Can't stand him as a player.
-
I think Chilwell is going to cost in the same region as VVD & Maguire. Probably like £80m. For half that we could probably find a great LB somewhere in Europe and that's what I expect us to do. And I say that as someone who loves Chilwell and would make him a priority. The English tax is outrageous,
-
I would be extremely surprised if we buy any sort of defender this coming window. As bad as our defense has been, unless we are selling someone I can't see us bringing anyone in. And there's no point in selling Alonso unless we bring in an instant upgrade like Chilwell. We may as well wait until the summer. Also, Toni is nearly fully fit apparently so another CB seems highly unlikely. Any signings we make are most likely going to be attacking ones ironically. Depending on how comfortable Giroud and Pedro are sitting on our bench of course.
-
Chilwell is impossible in January and probably a pipe dream even in the summer. United and City will probably battle it out for him and he'll go for another world record fee for a defender which I doubt we'll touch. Really, it seems like every big name we're linked with currently seems impossible in January with the exception of Zaha. All the others are either big factors at CL clubs or in Chilwell's case is a key player at a club having the season of their lives. Can see a max of 2 players coming in and I'd put money on them being from the PL.

I just don't see a scenario where we "disrupt" or "ruin" the progress of our young players like idiots on Twitter and from other clubs are suggesting. We don't need players in any of those positions. The areas we need to target are currently occupied by past it players, not youth. RW to replace Pedro (and Willian eventually) a striker to replace Giroud and compete with Tammy, and maybe a defender of some kind. I hope like hell Marina is already negotiating behind the scenes with Dortmund. 😂 Try to beat United to the punch. Can't see Liverpool or City splurging mega money in January when they don't need him.
-
You look at that Arse squad and with the exception of their central midfield, that is easily a top 4 side. If they replaced the average set of Xhaka, Torreira, and whoever else they have in there with proper players they'd be good. Would help massively going forward and more importantly defending. That + a coach who has a clue (like Poch or Allegri). Also saw Carlo's name mentioned. I'd hate to see either of Poch or Carlo go there. They would actually get them back up there I think. Allegri I'm not scared of. Think he could do an Emery.
-
Arsenal board should be on the phone begging Poch to come in and rescue them. He can organize them in midfield and defense at the very least. What a laughable embarrassment they are. Champions of the summer 2019 transfer window, remember!
-
Repeated pattern throughout their whole season. Seen it mentioned over and over again by Arsenal Fan TV. They get outshot consistently every game, even by small teams. You love to see it! 😂😂😂
-
Couldn't wait a couple of days, ffs. Goodison will be rocking and the entire mood of the team will probably be changed now.
-
Get the fuck in there. Villa's only few threatening moments came not due to their quality but rather our stupidity. Cut down on that and we are much more comfortable. Slightly concerning how dead on their feet several of our players looked towards the end but excusable I guess.
-
How are we still on shocking defensively this far into the season. And it's not complicated mistakes we're making. Just basic errors this far into the season. Leaving players literally unmarked in our 6 yard box. And wtf has happened to Mount? Gone completely off a cliff. We didn't get Pulisic involved at all either. This is infuriating.
-
I'm going into full blown meltdown if we don't win this. 😅😅😅
-
It is? For fucks sake. Yet another battle to find a decent stream. Had to watch the whole West Ham game with no sound. And finding one that doesn't buffer every few minutes is a chore.
-
So how does the Amazon Prime Video situation work? Will the game just be front and center when I open the app? Or do I have to do something else?
-
Yeah, I think it'll be an ugly slog of a game, but I read that Martial is out injured. They already struggle mightily to score goals most of the time and he is maybe their second most dangerous player. Could see a 0-1 Mourinho special.
-
Our players better be disgusted with their performance at home against West fucking Ham and be desperate to make up for it. I expect Mourinho to beat United and continue his decent start at Spuds. We can't allow a team that we were 12(?) points ahead of just a couple of weeks ago catch us right up when we have a run of highly winnable games. Hope Reece stays in the team. He got done on the Creswell goal but besides that he simply offers much more than Azpi currently does.
-
When teams are able to grind the play to a halt in their half we are hopeless. We still suck at breaking down parked buses. If our players don't receive the ball while running or get a quick passing move going we just can't do anything. It's infuriating watching Willian and whoever is on the left swinging in terrible crosses along the ground to nobody over and over again.
-
Of-fucking-course we decide to put in our sloppiest, most lackluster performance of the season at home to arguably the worst team we've faced. A team who benched a couple of their best players and had a new keeper. A team who has been conceding goals for fun and who were on the verge of sacking their manager. And we barely even troubled them. Absolutely embarrassing. That huge cushion we built for ourselves nearly pissed away with Mourinho's Spuds surging.
-
Reece, Pulisic, and Kova are dominating this game. Just the final touch missing. Dont know how many more times we're going to try the same exact corner over and over again. Looping, floated ball to Zouma who tries to head back across the area. It's not working. Pedro and Giroud both looking rusty as I feared.
-
Hopefully our crossing is good today from the fullbacks with Giroud in. Reece has put in some delicious crosses recently and we need more of that.
-
Kinda crazy how we've got to the point where we have so much midfield quality that Kante can be rotated and we don't immedietly think "we're fucked." I like the look of the XI assuming Pedro and Giroud don't look rusty. That's a big if, though. Surprised and kind of glad that Haller and Yarmalenko aren't starting becasue I figured they would both give us problems. West Ham fans don't seem pleased at all that Haller is on the bench and even angrier that Anderson is starting for some reason. I thought he was their best player by far?
-
So, any big injuries or suspensions for WH? What kind of lineup is expected? Haven't watched them since the beginning of the season when they were actually decent. All I know is that Pellegrini is now on the verge of being sacked. No idea if I should expect a more open team that's easy to score against or if they're one of those sides that defends deep and will be super frustrating.
-
Probably annoyed at us picking up constant injuries to key players...
-
Our hand was pretty much forced in that situation due to Courtois being a massive rat. I just think Chelsea is now a club where we don't shop from the absolute highest bracket anymore and look for players who at most cost £50-60m. I think the Pulisic & Morata level is the most we'll go to in normal circumstances. I think Kepa was an extreme outlier. Happy or be proved wrong, of course.
